I REALLY would prefer Disney pull this one off. It presents far less of a problem than Disney, and there is obviously the prospect of having more of Marvel back home. Comcast already has NBC Universal.

I don't know if Comcast getting 21st Century Fox is just as bad or WAY worse.

I said it the first time when it seemed like Disney "Won" neither option is particularly good.
But Disney is a far better choice between the two of them.

If Comcast wins, the closest the X-Men gets to the MCU is a Hulk/Bruce Banner cameo in a X-Men movie, cue the end credits music from the Incredible Hulk tv show from the late 1970s

an analyst came up with an interesting scenario of Comcast and disney splitting the assets.
Which could work out better depending how it's split.

The distribution rights for the original Star Wars film (Disney owns the brand, but Fox still has that) The Simpsons Alien/Aliens Predator Planet of the Apes S'what I can think of off the top of my head. Think it also would give the new owner rights to things like Avatar, X-Files and Alvin and the Chipmunks, but not 100% certain on those.

I'm confused as I haven't been intently following this story. I thought Disney had already purchased Fox (the film portion at least).

Also the Avatar franchise (the blue alien one, not the elemental nations one) Since Disney already has a dedicated part of it's theme park dedicated to the franchise, might as well own it.

It's a pretty deliberate tactic, though. Because if they decide to not accept the deal established during the vote, then that leaves Comcast open to set up a vote at a later date.

Fox’s response has so far, essentially, been that they haven’t decided if they’re delaying the July 10 meeting or not and, even though they still are under the Disney Merger Agreement, they’ll look through the Comcast offer carefully.
In layman’s terms; 🤷🏻♂️

Just imagine if Comcast was to merge with EA.

Worst case scenario: Comcast buys Fox, and five years later, Disney buys Foxcast.
Eventually, all will be Disney.
Fox? Disney.
Comcast? Disney.
Time Warner? Disney.
It's just Disney all the way down, folks.
