maybe it'd finally shut up the damn complaints once and for all. That will never happen.

On a random note, I was thinking about how, later on, they could release a fighting mode exclusive for Assist Trophies that uses mechanics based entirely on the original Super Smash Bros., meaning only three special moves, no Final Smashes, and limits the tactical aspects (like no wave dashing), to help ease on development strain. Of the 59 ATs, 25 (Akira, Alucard, Bomberman, Guile, Zero, Rodin, Spring Man, Samurai Goroh, Shovel Knight, Takamaru, Ashley, Ghirahim, Shadow, Phosphora, Sable Prince, Sukapon, Dillon, Midna, Lyn, Isaac, Black Knight, Krystal, Knuckles, Gray Fox, & Waluigi) would meet some requirements, which ironically is the Melee roster. They'd likely be limited to certain stages, and you can't use them in Classic Mode or World of Light due to their limitations, but it'd be a nice bonus. No new stages would be made for the ATs. It's highly unlikely, though, but maybe it'd finally shut up the damn complaints once and for all. Kind of same topic but I'm surprised we didnt get more echo. After making a big deal about it, we only got 7 echo with 2 of them being from the last games. I figure we would atleast get 8 or 12 of them.

Hype up new mechanic that nothing was done with.

If nothing else there's basically no defense for Dixie not being one. Same for Medusa really, it'd have been a good way to both add an extra villain and to keep around some of Palutena's (much better) alternate specials. For that matter could've thrown a bone to the people mad that solo Charizard didn't come back by having Dragonite as a standalone clone that uses Rock Smash and has Dragon Breath in place of Flamethrower. It'd fit perfectly.

Welp, someone managed to grab an early copy and is leaking legit screens online. Start avoiding social media and the like if you don't wanna get spoiled.

It's highly unlikely, though, but maybe it'd finally shut up the damn complaints once and for all. I mean, to me that'd arguably just be worse? Specifically the idea of locking them down to only fighting each other. I could live with having access to them stripped down, but even in that form it'd just be stupid not being able to do Ashley against Wario or Alucard against Bayonetta if we really want to. Though then again if there were something like that mods would most likely pretty quickly turn them into fully functional characters anyway. It's not without it's flaws. It clearly would be a 205 Live situation where the ATs are segregated into fighting only other ATs, and obviously people would be still unhappy about not getting a full experience considering they would rather see them actually fight the "true" fighters and not have to duke it out to see who's the best of the Also Rans, but given that next year is the 20th anniversary of the franchise, they might do something crazy to celebrate it (well... besides Ultimate existing anyway), and this might be a comrpomise that could happen. I doubt it will actually happen, and they'll probably just leave the ATs as ATs, but stranger things have happened in this franchise. The only Assist Trophy I saw that fans would be unhappy that would miss out would be Skull Kid.

Partial music list has leaked. docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1e7fRsX8Pp5EyyUoXTT9iODI23jvwAqJDd08J7XHpv3M/edit#gid=954702301Kind of a mixed bag, I got some stuff I was heavily wanting, some I didn't. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}Break Free (Lead the Way), Zinnia, the Fourside theme, the original Great Sea, Molgera, Calling to the Night, and Ai no Uta are some of the things I was really rooting to have in that I got.
Ones I majorly wanted we didn't get are vocal versions of Tomorrow is Mine and Mysterious Destiny, Moon River, Fly Me to the Moon (not that I at all expected those two), Guzma, Ultra Necrozma, Wally, and Lost in the Waves. The fact there STILL isn't a Hyrule Castle theme or Koopa Road is also pretty annoying.
Also, the lack of any Xenoblade X music is suspicious as hell.

If this list is real and there isn't anything else hidden away somehow... {Spoiler}Then the Final Fantasy music must be too pricey to get more than 2 songs for Midgar, which I know will disappoint some people.
Oh, and hey, Studiopolis made it in from Sonic Mania. Cool!

Really hoping there's some degree of allowance for putting Mario music on Yoshi's Island (Melee). I doubt it but there's not a huge amount of Yoshi music anyway, it really is barely a Yoshi stage despite being listed as one, and it'd be incredibly stupid not to be able to use Super Mario World music on a Super Mario World stage.
Then again it's a terrible stage anyway.

On another note, I can see why they wouldn't want to just put it on the list without evidence but it's blatantly obvious those remaining Street Fighter songs are Cammy's, Dee Jay's, T. Hawk's, and Fei Long's. Only main Street Fighter 2 characters not listed and there are exactly enough spots left to fit both variations of each of them in, pretty clear.

{Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} I'm hoping for at least the Saturos Battle from the original Golden Sun and something from Rayman as part of the Others, such as the Hoodoo Battle/Credits from Rayman 3 or one of the instrumental tracks from Rayman Origins.
I would have also liked Square to allow Sakurai to use tracks made by Shimomora, especially one of her Apocalyptica variants from XV, but seems like Square said no on that.
Would have wanted more tracks from Mania.[/spoilers]
