The Jesus thing made zero sense. Some said that it is typical to give someone some screen time and a bit of build just to kill them off (so people will care). There's a difference here because Jesus seemed like someone being set up for a major storyline, not just token screen time to kill him off.

I kinda dropped out from the show, just going to wait for the new season to hit Netflix so I can watch it all at once. All these departures don't seem too promising for the already diminishing quality though.
People in this thread said that when Danai started getting that Marvel money she most likely wouldn't stay around much longer.
Yea, I was saying that as well
Her star is on the rise, she was a big hit in Black Panther and she's got side projects she's working on as well. I'm pretty sure she loves The Walking Dead to death (pun not intended) but the writing is on the wall and with Chandler, Lauren, and Andrew all gone she has to do what's best for herself

also DON'T TRUST HER HENRY!!!
and see, giving characters a nice little rambling adventure is a good thing, and it actually made me sympathetic to negan, how about that ..... no more being bossy to everyone, no annoying good guys to "iron out", and cuddling up to lucille .....
and yes jesus IS dead!
really good mid season starter, those bloody whisperers are MORE creepy than the walkers themselves, as you've probably found out .....
I must admit I really wasn't feeling that overly hyped for this half of the season.
But I have to say I ended up really enjoying this episode.
The whisperers look great and come across as a legit threat.
I really enjoyed the Negan scenes this episode.. Trying to re adapt to the world and how he seemed to keep a pet zombie for a while ;D
Also did he return to the area where he killed Abraham and Glenn?.. Certainly looked it.
I'm also quite enjoying the Negan/Judith chemistry.
It sucks that Jesus is dead.. He was a great character.. Poor old Aaron just can't keep a boyfriend.. I half expected him to turn into a walker when being carried on the horse.. I mean as far as I'm aware his brain was never destroyed.
Like it or not Henry is the new Carl.. Hopefully he will become slightly more tolerable later on.
With the Festival coming up I guess it's time to wonder..

The Whisperers work so much better on screen than in the comics.
In the comics I didn't care about them. But on TV, hearing their creepy whispers in the middle of a herd or coming out of the fog, then seeing a walker lurching forward with a knife in its hand is very creepy. They come across as way creepier, more menacing and intimidating.
