So the ratings were the lowest since the 2012 game

Hey andrew8798, remember how we were talking about Kingsbury being safe at Texas Tech because they probably had realistic expectations? Well, the Arizona Cardinals definitely don't. Maybe Sumlin will be the hire in Green Bay...

Talent alone doesn't win championships, you gotta have great coaching. And how many of those 5 star recruits never pan out? Guys like Sam Bradford, Mark Ingram, Toby Gerhart, AJ Hawk, Marcus Mariota, were all 3 star recruits, and they kicked ass in college. Andrew Luck for some reason was a 4 star recruit, and he had NFL scouts drooling over him when he was a high school senior. Countless 5 star recruits have failed, great coaching and recruiting is finding those 3 star guys who will be great, and knowing which 5 star guys will live up to the hype and work in the system. I never said talent alone was enough. What’s I said was having the best talent is the surest way to win championships, regularly. And it is. Bama and Clemson are the two best recruiting teams in the nation. They’ve won the last four national titles. That’s not a coincidence. Of course not all elite talent is going to pan out. But the truly elite schools, stockpile as much as they can. The good thing about having the most talented players is the fact you will more likely hit on players majority of your players than anything
Yes, coaching without doubt plays a big help to get players to reach their potential but if you can stockpile talent, redshirt those 4 and 5 star recruits who are behind in the depth chart you will be able to create a decent system who can stay on top but obviously these things don't last forever

Coaching plays a huge part on being a deep, dominant program. Look at LSU or Florida St or Florida under Zook or UM under Coker or Michigan under Harbaugh. You can get top recruits and still be a fringe program, but Georgia, OSU, Clemson, and Bama are on top because of their ability to hit over and over again on top recruits. Bottom line: the recruiting gap outside of Bama isn't huge, the coaching gap is.

At the end of the day you are getting talented kids but they are still kids who need guidance and structure because a lot of them to that point had been the best in their school or state and been babied since whatever age. College is where you learn failure and you need the right person in charge to help them stray that path

Without getting too political, I’ll go on record by saying that I am actually extremely jealous of Clemson football for what Trump did for them today.

Without getting too political, I’ll go on record by saying that I am actually extremely jealous of Clemson football for what Trump did for them today. Why? The dude owns a deluxe hotel with a top notch kitchen staff that is literally 2 blocks away from the WH. I would rather try high-class food from an exclusive deluxe hotel that I would rarely get to try rather than Burger King, which I could easily get anytime.

Finally things looking up for Miami. Tate Martell is coming here, bringing a TE from HS with him. Also, speedster Jeff Thomas is coming back. Finally the offense has that explosive element that it has been lacking since Kaaya left, and even then we weren't that great. Good moves considering that the offense looked trash and Diaz needed some good news to help close out a recruiting class that has seen many de-commits.

Well, let's just say that I have very simple dining taste.

It's looking like Jalen Hurts will wind up at Oklahoma. Hurts officially announced it, he's transferring to Oklahoma. The Big 12 gets no break, Lincoln Riley goes from Baker to Kyler to Hurts. And after Hurts, there's Spencer Rattler.

FSU QB Deondre Francois has been dismissed from the team stemming from domestic abuse charges. Something tells me that if this was Bowden running things in 2002 and Francois was ballin out, they'd "Wait for the investigation and let all the facts come out."

As a Michigan fan, I HATE the preseason love Michigan is getting...... I'm worried the defense could take a step back (I know... Don Brown, but still.... they were very shaky at the end of the year and lost some really good talent) and am slightly worried about RB in an otherwise really strong offense. I'm getting ready for the season though!
