The Lakers are obviously going to be a lot better but people ready to crown them now are nuts. They're gonna have a hard time getting a third guy with that cap situation and even if they do who's filling out the roster?

This move by the Lakers... man if it wiffs or even something completely overseen like injury issues: they are basically toast for a decade. They completely mortgaged the future for now.
Yet you could probably bet they will still outshine the Clippers even in a worse case scenario. Because even when the Lakers suck they have that flaming train-wreck sort of quality that you just can't help but pay attention to the carnage.

The parade is sort of being delayed because some people won't get out of the way for the buses to move through.
Oh and the parade attendance is 1.5 to 2 million people

Didnt see it mentioned but by the AD trade getting done so quickly the Lakers actually lose cap space. The Lakers are now projected to have 23.7 mil in cap scpscr had they waited till the end of July they would have had 32.5 I mean they don’t “NEED” a 3rd superstar. They need a competent roster that will help this team all season long. Right now Kuzma is your decent 3rd guy and I’d have him as your sixth man. They got to be smart but they also got to take risk as well. Can see someone like Cousins be a calculated risk if he comes as cheap as he did before You’re going to see some guys on the cheap like Jody Meeks on that squad because he’s a shooter who had a bad season but could have a good one with LBJ

As I just said above they don’t really “need” a 3rd guy as much as they need a full roster of guys. Maybe you can get JJ Reddick to sign for $10 mill or get Middleton on a contract for $20 mill a year but those are big splurges in the case of Middleton you can’t really afford Their best bet is maybe someone takes that cAp for one year and see how everything plays out since AD is only signed for one year but Lakers have to be smart. Magic signed people that did not fit with LeBron at all last year and they can’t repeat that

If the Lakers are smart and go at guys like Jeremy Lamb, Brook Lopez and Corey Joseph they could build a solid roster. My worru is they will star chase and even if not going for a 3rd star will go for names

If the Lakers are smart and go at guys like Jeremy Lamb, Brook Lopez and Corey Joseph they could build a solid roster. My worru is they will star chase and even if not going for a 3rd star will go for names Lamb and Lopez will probably be out their price range. Brook earned himself a good contract turning into a threat from 3 and Lamb will probably stick in Charlotte who will pay him around the $12-$15 million dollar range Guys like Meeks who I mentioned before, McCaw who now has 3 rings, even a DeAndre Jordan or Wesley Matthews will probably go for cheap. You got to sell vets on the ring because that's what the goal is after making their money at this point. I do feel like teams have missed the point of why GS was able to stay relevant these last 5 years outside of the obvious factor. They had young guys come in and fill big roles thanks to their scouting but with Lakers having no picks they have to rely on players resume In terms of a 3rd star I think players in the NBA realize playing with LeBron is a blessing and a curse. You're going to get the blame and none of the credit. Kemba doesn't have to run to L.A. and by all accounts thus far he's not really considering Lakers. I think he goes to Mavs or stays in Charlotte. In terms of other names you have Kyrie who seems destined to Brooklyn, Middleton who probably will get overpaid but stays with Milwaukee so there is no real 3rd guy who could jump I'd sign back Lance if he is willing to come cheap. He's an agitator you need and him being the 8th or 9th best player on the team as opposed to the 4th or 5th makes him very good in his role. Rondo liked playing with AD and vice versa so he may come back on the cheap. Sign a few 3 point shooters and the team itself is looking decent

Kings will not chase Nikola Vucevic
They might chase a short term option like DeAndre Jordan or Dwayne Dedmon. Also they might considering bringing WCS back if anything
If they believe in Giles long term ability, not signing another Center long term makes sense though you also know you can't cheap out and have to be in playoff contention this year. Vlade has earned the benefit of doubt so shall see what moves he makes

Yeah, the smart move now for the Lakers is to build complimentary depth around Lebron and AD. But then the Lakers haven't been very smart lately.

Knicks like Julius Randle as an option if they strikeout on everyone else
That's not too bad, I like him too more so since he can play Center. Wouldn't mind signing him to $12-$15 mill deal and if they somehow get KD I think they could compliment each other after next season since Randle is a mini Draymond without the defense
Speaking of which, I think if Knicks do get KD they will be going hard for Draymond the next season

Boston would like to bring back Al Horford on a cheaper deal
I think he's making like $30 mill this year if he opts in and they want to add 2 more years to his contract if he decides to come back at a cheaper value

I’m a huge believer in Giles, so a max guy in front of him for 5 years would be counter-productive. Please no Willie. Please please please no Willie. Gauge Cousins’ interest in a non-max return. Brook Lopez would be interesting. DeAndre Jordan would be like a good version of Willie.

However, Giles I believe is entering the last two years of his contract so Kings I expect want to see some good growth this year as they need to see if he is the future or not Getting a guy for one year is the right move as they still need a SF but they should bring back Barnes. Kings need to be smart with their cap as they have time to use it before Fox is due a contract in 2 years as well
