So is this the official death countdown thread? Kinda like a Raw thread? I certainly hope it's not. If did such a countdown with anyone else, the thread would be locked.....

In other news.....24 hours or so now before Saddam dies? I've been watching the news off and on all day. They said that his lawyer has been contacted to come and collect his personal belongings or give them an address to send them to. They initially said that he had been handed over to Iraqi custody, which is one of the very last steps and very last updates we will likely have before he is executed. The reason being that they don't want to say "at 17:00, Saddam will be executed" and give people a reason to hit the streets with violence and attacks on American soldiers. Another interesting thing that they mentioned earlier was that they were considering holding his execution in a stadium in front of the public and broadcasting it on Iraqi TV. They said that they most likely will opt to take the quiet route to keep the already expectedly high violence down. All I have to say, is if it were to happen, Youtube please.

I wonder what kind of answers would get if they conducted a poll on violence in America?

CNN just gave me a lesson as to properly hang someone. They explain how it's done, and what exactly it does to te human body. Thanks CNN!
I'm expecting by this time tommorow, he will be hung. Probably in the next 18 hours. They should do it in the wee hours of the morning there so it'll be around primetime in America when it happens.

Eh let him hang and let him die. I'm sure the picture of him swinging will be all over everywhere by the 1st. Then I'll have a new background for my desk top!
Hang in there Saddam!

Good to see I am not alone. I mean, what if someone felt this way about Pres. Ford? I doubt a thread rejoicing in his death would have a long life here.

Not that I support this thread, I'm just saying it's a weak arguement to make.

I'm not comparing the two as people, I am saying we shouldn't "pick and choose", because we all have different beliefs and ideals.

Apparently, it'll happen within the next half-hour, if it hasn't happened already.
