Well there was actually was plans for a fifth member of the team in season five, but it wasn't Hogan it was going to be Tia Carrere of Wayne's World, General Hospital fame. They actually introduced her character in the season four finale as the daughter of the primary antagonist of that season: Gen. Fullbright (played by Jack Ging) for whom the Team had to return to Vietnam to bring her back to the States. She was going to fill the action girl role and bring in new and younger viewers, but her commitments to General Hospital prevented that and so the producers went with Plan B turning the series into Suicide Squad. I read that Peppard in particular wasn't keen on having here on, and the others thought it would ruin the chemistry of the show. Still would've better than season 5. God that ws bad. Really? I've never read anything about the cast not wanting Tia on. But, Melinda Culea and Marla Heasley? Yeah. Peppard didn't want them on and made it no secret.

At least in The A-Team universe Hulk Hogan served in Vietnam. Hulk in 'Nam. Just let that sink in.

Yeah I would have loved having Tia on the team instead of what we got. I would have preferred they went undercover as high school kids like in 21 Jump Street compared to what we got. The Last seasons of The A-Team and Knight Rider still sits uneasy with me.

They killed off/replaced the whole cast, they couldn't afford the copter so they built a mockup of it and reused footage of it.

They killed off/replaced the whole cast, they couldn't afford the copter so they built a mockup of it and reused footage of it. Never seen Airwolf but that sounds horrid. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/AirwolfSeason 4 The USA Network funded a fourth season in 1987, to be produced in Canada by Atlantis and The Arthur Company (owned by Arthur L. Annecharico) in association with MCA. This was intended to increase the number of episodes to make the show eligible for broadcast syndication. The original cast was written out of the fourth season: Jan-Michael Vincent appears in a first transitional episode; a body double for Ernest Borgnine seen only from the back represented Santini, who was killed off in an explosion; Archangel was said to have suddenly been assigned overseas. "The Firm" was replaced by "the Company"; no mention was made of Caitlin. St. John Hawke, played by Barry Van Dyke, was suddenly revealed to be alive, having been working for many years as a deep undercover agent for American intelligence, contradicting characterizations in the previous three seasons. St. John replaced Stringfellow as the central character. Production moved to Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada, with a reduced budget, less than one third of the original CBS budget. The production crew no longer had access to the original Airwolf helicopter, and all in-flight shots were recycled from earlier seasons; the original full-size studio mockup was re-dressed and used for all interior shots. Actress Michele Scarabelli, who played Jo Santini, said in a Starlog magazine interview that all 24 scripts were in place before the cast arrived, leaving the actors little room to develop their characters.

Well George Peppard and Mr T apparently hated each other but I thought that was public knowledge. Hell that was one of the reasons that producers hired Peppard's friend, Robert Vaughn to try and smooth things over. It didn't work and the show was cancelled. T and Peppard eventually buried the hatchet before Peppard's death. On that note Vaughn didn't much care for T. disasteryear20xx.blogspot.com/2010/01/huh-robert-vaughn-on-mr-t.html?m=1"The strangest thing about The A-Team was Mr T. He was, as far as I'm concerned, a bona fide, credentialled psychotic. He had no benevolence. He drove a fire engine-red Rolls-Royce Corniche convertible. He'd start talking when he got into makeup at 7 o'clock in the morning and he'd still be talking at 7 o'clock at night when he got back into his Corniche. And nobody paid any attention to him at all. He was a very, very strange man." I imagine Robert's reaction being this...

I don't get why he lies so much even by wrestling's standards. Honestly I just think its in his natural as more shit comes out of his mouth than his arse. Also this thread has also reminded me how terrible the final season of the A-Team is.

Also this thread has also reminded me how terrible the final season of the A-Team is. The worst is that he lies about stuff that's easy to debunk, like how he was offered the leading role for The Wrestler or that he was originally asked to endorse the George Foreman grill, or my new favorite Hogan lie that I just discovered today, that Elvis was a Hogan fan when Hulk wrestled in Memphis, the problem is that Elvis died two years before Hogan even wrestled at Memphis.

Im hearing the something to wrestle podcast, apparently Hulk went around and started telling people that Thunder in Paradise was gonna be the new baywatch hahahah It had some of the same people behind it, so on that front, I could see why he would get his hopes up, but he fundamentally didn't get why Baywatch excelled. 1. Attractive people in swimsuits. Even though Hulk obviously had some admirers, it's not like he was a heart throb or anything. 2. It was done VERY CHEAPLY, and padded with product placement. If footage was shot, it'd be used, regardless of it it made any sense, etc. Even with as cheesy as Thunder in Paradise was shot, and the cost cutting methods taken, there's no way it was going to be as cheap. Stock footage can only do so much.
