So I was at a cd/dvd store getting some presents yesterday when I spotted the lil display saying what new music was coming out. I looked through the list and only recognized Tony Bennett and Styx (wha?)...all the other bands I had never heard of. It was then I realized that music has passed me by at the ripe age of 29. When did some of you realize that you no longer related to the younger generation? I'm 15 and I don't get those gosh darn whoopersnappers these days.

I didn't feel it until about 2 weeks ago. I'm 32, by the way.
I was in break during classes at the community college and there is this guy who just turned 18 and we were outside smoking. We were talking about what we had in our music collection. He said "I have a little bit of everything, even the classic s*** like PEARL JAM"

Alright, here's one.
The Grinch movie with Jim Carrey was on cable the other day and my younger cousin comes up to me and says "Hey, come watch the Grinch with us!" And I said "Oh yeah? The cartoon or the movie?" And my cousin says "Um... there was a cartoon version of the Grinch?"
Here's another one. When I was a kid, I used to look up to wrestlers. They were all adults and I wanted to be like them when I grew up. Now, most of the popular wrestlers are my age... or younger.

When I caught my wee sister watching kids cartoons, watched 5 minutes of it with her then left mumbling "The cartoons from my day where much better" Still are as well I do that too... Did I mention I'm only 17? that's an important point

Ok, one of my friends has never seen the cartoon of Grinch and she's 19-20. But yeah, i'd slap a kid if he said that. I only feel old when i realize i'm graduating from college in like 4 months and all the people on my floor still have 3 years left. as for the Kenny thing, I had a realization at RAW on Monday. Ric Flair was a world champion before Kenny was even born, and here they are wrestling.

At this year's Survivor Series, Jim Ross commented that the members of the Spirit Squad were probably 2 or 3 when the first one took place. That makes me older than them...damn! When I watch VH-1 Classic and they play stuff like Kriss Kross's "Jump" and Color Me Badd's "All 4 Love." XM introducing a channel that plays "our generation's classic rock." The fact that kids today would probably have no clue about old-school Nickelodeon, or POGS, or any of the stuff I remember so fondly. Hit the nail right on the head with POGS, im 22 and still have my special #45 Michael Jordan slammer to this day...What makes me feel old? When you go to a party and kids you used to babysit for are there...

Realizing I was old, Part 1: Years ago, when I was telling my niece that all that N'Sync and Backstreet Boys crap she listened to was nothing more than New Kids on the Block rip-offs, and her response was "who?"
Realizing I was old, Part 2: When I tell that story, and people respond "What's a Backstreet Boy?"

Emo's didnt even exist when I was in highschool.
It makes me feel old that theres a trend I didn't witness in highschool.
The most annoying trend were Ravers but they aren't as annoying as Emo's.

You know what makes me feel old? When you open up the Playboy centerfold and her birthdate is some time in 1987. Oh lord...too true. Too true. Damn, now I'm feeling old. Yeesh. I think I'm getting old and come to terms with this about a week or so ago when I could have bought a PS3...............but didn't. Pass the prune juice.

Saying "back in high school" was the first time I felt really old. Doesn't help when I hear jay lethal's age being four years younger than me. When did some of you realize that you no longer related to the younger generation? Doesn't really bother me because I didn't even relate to the young generation when I myself was young.
