Really NFL network? The Super Bowl was the 8th best game of the season in your top 20 countdown? I doubt it would make a top 20 football games of 2019 so far

I doubt it would make a top 20 football games of 2019 so far I’m guessing the AFC championship game is number one, but the Super Bowl was actually pretty good. I wouldn’t have a difficult time finding eight better games but both teams did play great defense. I wasn’t like it was a showcase of ineptitude

Colin Kaepernick settled with the nfl and is expected to join a team soon. Its bullshit that it took him to sue them just so he could get his career back.

Colin Kaepernick settled with the nfl and is expected to join a team soon. Its bullshit that it took him to sue them just so he could get his career back. It could just be a lot of bluster and hot air to help his client find a job, but Kaepernick's attorney Mark Geragos said over the weekend that it wouldn't surprise him if the Patriots made a move for the former 49ers quarterback. I mean, Bill Belichick and Josh McDaniels were able to completely overhaul an offensive gameplan in only three days back in 2016 to get then-rookie Jacoby Brissett ready for a Thursday night game against the Texans, which the Patriots won 27-0, as Brissett was 11-for-19 for 103 yards and ran eight times for 48 yards and a touchdown. So if the Patriots were to sign Kaepernick, his sole responsibility in a Patriots uniform would be to ensure that the whole thing doesn't come unraveled after a Tom Brady injury. And if Belichick and McDaniels could get a decent performance out of an untested rookie on three days' notice, I'm sure they could get a representative performance out of a gimmick quarterback who hasn't played meaningful football in nearly three years. But the reason why I'd be surprised to see Kaepernick in Foxboro, aside from his lack of abilities as a pure passer (and that's going back six years to the last time he was an above-average quarterback), it's that I'd wonder how he'd fit in to the Patriot Way. In New England, the job of the backup quarterback is to be the most anonymous person on the roster. From Damon Huard in 2002 on down the line to Brian Hoyer today, the backup quarterback's job is to sit in on meetings, run the scout offense, and make sure things don't fall to s**t if Tom Brady's hurt. Signing a lightning rod like Kaepernick, which would lead to national news media (not just sports media) descending on Foxboro to talk about the 53rd man on the roster doesn't seem like a Belichick move.

The main reason i can’t see Kaep in Foxboro is because of Bob Kraft. That’s all that I have to say about that.

Robert Kraft would probably be one of the biggest reasons why Colin Kaepernick would want to play in New England. Kraft in January pledged $50 million along with the owners of the Philadelphia 76ers and Brooklyn Nets and rappers Meek Mill and Jay-Z to form "Reform," a group that aims to change outdated laws and reform the criminal justice system, which is one of the reasons why Kaepernick said he started protesting in the first place.

Yes Shannon Sharpe said that it’s believed that Kraft moved some strings to release Meek, but then again there’s other acquaintances of Kraft who wouldn’t be happy at that potential move.

As much as I hated the guy when he was a 49er (as I saw him as an arrogant prick (and that was before the whole kneeling thing)), I wouldn't mine Carolina trying to sign him as a back-up because despite what everyone on the Panthers would have us believe, we really don't know if Cam is going to be ready to go on opening day after having late season shoulder surgery on his throwing shoulder. Also, we have Eric Reid so why the hell not.

There are very few places that Kaep's message plays worse than New England. There are segments like that in any market, but Mass? Never gonna happen.

Apparently the Niners have been interested in OBJ for awhile now. I like that a lot more than AB given his recent issues... don’t think I’d be willing to trade the #2 for him though.

In all honesty, name a fanbase that will let such objections go easier than the Patriots' fanbase. As much as I am ready to see the dynasty end, they have earned the right to say, "Hey fans, don't sweat it. We know what we are doing."

Well Pats fans know when players with a history come to their team, they are expected to fall in line and if they don't they are gone with no problem but players know the Pats history so well and will not jeopardize that opportunity for a ring

I think the Panthers would be a good fit for Kaep especially if Newton's going to be out for awhile. They already have Eric Reid, and from what I've heard, new owner David Tepper was entirely on board with the players' right to protest.

As much as I would love to believe that of any market that Kaep goes to, I don't think I can buy it. More skeptical of Boston or possibly Dallas, but it's a concern either way.

Oh, this Kaep controversy. So much fun. Kaepernick sat for the anthem saying he doesn't think the country lives up to all that it says it is. Silent and peaceful protest.
He catches hell, so what does he do? He goes and talks to MEMBERS OF THE MILITARY to see what he could do. They said he could kneel. It's protesting while being respectful to those who serve.
But hey, don't let facts stand in the way of a good story. False patriotism and racism needs a villain, and Kaep was very convenient for both.
