On TV its a boring bore that wastes time and energy that could be better used to show grass growing or paint drying. In practice its a waste of space so the rich, wanna be rich and other guys who I won't specifically insult can feel like they did something fun. It was made in a time where people did young so we had a lot of space and those lucky enough to live into adulthood had a lot of time to kill because the more interesting pursuits were too far away or not invented yet. I hate it, its boring and I am not a crank.

I play golf occasionally. Love going to the driving range. And enjoyed playing with my dad and grandpap before one wrecked their shoulder, and the other passed away.
But yeah, to watch on tv...golf is boring as hell.

Best golf I ever played was a round of beer golf for a bachelor party. Had to drink 1 beer for every hole. All shots had to be taken with a drink in one hand. By the time we were on hole 11 nobody gave a shit and we drove the golfcarts (had DD's for the golf carts for the record) across the highway through an industrial park to get to the strip club.

I never was one to really watch it on TV or followed it that closely. However the 100th PGA tour championship look took place in my backyard and the buzz was amazing. Yesterday final round was really fun to see even on TV and the sea of people that showed up and the crowd was LOUD that even the players admitted that made it more exciting and wish they played with crowds like that had all week. It became a proud moment for the City to take a MAJOR event like this and hit one out of the park so to speak.
Living in a city that loves it's sports and keep reminding people that St. Louis isn't just a baseball town. Like I said never was a big watcher or follower and even I was interested in what was taking place with the PGA here.

I like watching the final rounds of majors and the Ryder Cup. I don’t play, though.

I know golf gets a lot of criticism as a form of reverse snobbery but I love it. As Jim Cornette says, "for the people who like that kind of thing it's the kind of thing those people like".
I prefer playing golf to watching it on the tv. But watching on tv is great for picking up tips on shot selections to use (badly) when I get out on the course for real.

I'll watch it on the weekends for a bit. Kind of relaxing.

Golf only interests me when Tiger's playing well. Otherwise, it's sleep-inducing.

First time I got an HDTV I put the Golf Channel on because of the scenery. Beautiful lush greenery. I don't golf unless there's a windmill involved.

My stance on Golf- If you have some skill and ability (Actually able to drive the ball) than it can be quite enjoyable. If you have no or minimal ability, it will be one of the worst times of your life.
It also requires goofy pants and a fat ass...
