I used to love me some SVU, mostly because I find Mariska Hartigay unbelievably attractive for someone who has 20+ years on me and has been on the show since I was 14.
My favorite crazy episode was the one where they had a veteran cop come back into the station and it turned out through about 75 turns that she was living with a guy who faked his own death 30+ years ago to get out of his marriage was horribly disfigured from the fire.

Hate to bump this but watching one now that is batshit crazy. Season 4, Episode 2
SVU visits a school because a little girl painted a family portrait that shows her crying. During the interview she mentions that she saw her mother naked in bed with her step-brother. Boy denies everything. Couple gets into a fight and kids are removed from the home. Multiple witnesses say something is definitely going on between mother and step-son but he's 17 and they can't prove anything happened before he was legal. Father winds up murdered with a baseball bat. They pick up the kid for it. Kid and mother both deny everything. Kid bailed out of jail, he violates the terms of his bail by flying to Virginia to marry his step-mother. Now that they're married they now have spousal privilege so neither has to testify against the other.
Some random reporter makes a remark to detectives that the mother is at least 3 months pregnant and he saw her at the doctor's with the kid. This would prove that she was having sex with him prior to his 17th birthday. DNA proves that the baby is fathered by a 3rd man, her personal trainer. Detectives get called to the hospital because mom was raped. She blames the personal trainer and says he told her that he killed her husband. Semen from the rape kit was frozen and contained spermicide. Mom saved his sperm to set him up for rape.
Personal trainer admits to killing the husband. Mom called her and said husband was abusing her. Got personal trainer to kill husband so they could be together. Turns out Mom was playing the son as well because of the massive trust fund he would receive after his father's death. Since they're now married she as access to it. Mom goes in for an abortion. Kid agrees to testify against her, hands her divorce papers and she gets arrested for first-degree murder.

There was one about a woman who owned a wine company, and video came out of her being abusive to a worker after said worker turned up dead. The video caused a big business deal involving her company to be canceled. She called a press conference where she berated the police, plus her employees for not backing her up. She then pulled out a gun and committed suicide in front of everyone. There's then a scene with the SVU cops where they say the woman, in her will, left everything to her pets as a final "f*** you" to her workers.

Ah, yes. "Bedtime." Featuring a bevy of guest stars, basically saying, "Hey! Remember how hot we were?" With Ann-Margret, Morgan Fairchild, Susan Anton, and Jaclyn Smith as the former cop/killer.

That might be my favorite episode of the show just for how completely batshit it is. That's not even all of it since you also have someone randomly being hit by a car, sodomy with a wine bottle, the cops just up and abandoning a crippled old woman without a word at the end, that one's a riot. And also this abusive video that makes everyone talking about this woman as the worst boss who ever lived is just her slightly raising her voice over some typoes.

Season 4 is apparently the point where shit starts getting really insane.
Girl tries to kill herself by jumping off a subway platform. She says she was raped and held captive. Restraint patterns on her body match a Jane Doe from a while back who was found with no skull or fingers so they could never figure out who she was. Multiple suspects all proven false. Pick up another suspect which matches the rape kit. He says he never touched the girl but it sleeping with her mother. 2nd match, also sleeping with the mother. He says the father is paying him to sleep with his wife. Dad is infertile and wants his family to continue growing so he pulls in guys off the street to impregnate his wife. During the last pregnancy there was a problem and she could no longer have kids so now he wants to use his daughter to have more kids.
Father tied her up and used a turkey baster to inseminate her. Then he managed to manipulate her into lying on the stand so he gets off on the charges. Girl did manage to get pregnant and wants to keep the baby. Suddenly they wonder why it took them two years to get her pregnant. All this time the youngest daughter was giving Stabler clues. She gave him a bracelet with a name on it. Turns out it was Jane Doe, who was living in the extra room in their house. They pull up the floor in the house and find Jane Doe's skull and fingers. Girl decides not to keep the baby after all.

Here is one that I should mention: Girl Dishonored.
Okay, the episode played out about these girls trying to joined a sorority and going through hazing, such as a sequence when a few of them are in their underwear and getting marked. Then they go to a frat party and one of the girls who was pledging for the sorority gets raped and then tries to commit suicide, only for it to be revealed that she only fell on something and hit her head against something. Then it got even more ridiculous as the rape victim tried to deny the heinous act as she still wanted to get in the sorority. It then led to the detectives coming to another victim who wanted to go through shock treatment so that she can forget about everything, especially because the university turned a blind eye to all the rapes that occurred. Basically the deans at the university allowed for all of these things to happen, despite the fraternity recording video of these guys admitting that they raped a girl.

The twins were played by the same actor. "I was in what now?"

Another great one is the MMO one where they have to identify the cabin a kidnapped girl is being held in and the method they do this is to find an exact recreation of the location the cabin is in inside the MMO and then convince the single guy who runs this MMO to change the time of day so they can see how the shadow falls on it to gauge where it is, which he is super hesitant to do because it'd freak all the players out for a minute.
Because y'know, some crappy Second Life knockoff absolutely has both a completely true-to-life world layout and 100% perfect lighting effects.

Don't know the episode's title, but the one with Robin Williams as the perp, I always wish they did a follow up to that one.

There's one where Goldberg is on PCP and tears up the station. The episode has nothing to do with him. I know it's not a weird one, but I will never forget the episode where Stabler cannot even begin to comprehend the concept of a woman raping a man. They’ve had all sorts of weird ass celebrity guest shots. The aforementioned Robin Williams and John Stamos episodes, the one where Richard Dreyfus is a loon stalking an astronaut, where Jerry Lewis is detective Munch’s uncle. And my favorite where the guy from Wishmaster is the Russian mobster who eats tigers. That wasn't Richard Dreyfus. That was Chris Elliot, and the episode had James Brolin in the same episode. He was the perp, and turned out to be Stabler's mentor, and who he named his son after. One episode that sticks out is the one where Olivia gets a call from a girl who claims to be kidnapped, and it is believed to be a hoax. It turns out not to be, thanks to Bailey from Grey's Anatomy descrambling the perp's "signal scrambling software" and they manage to find the girl who had been put in a garbage bag, still alive. How she fit in that bag....I'll never figure out.

The most batshit one I remember is the kid who was making money by selling porn of himself, and it was the second time this.kid had been on a nutty one cause if I remember right the same actor had played a kid that raped and killed someone on an episode a couple seasons before

Ant to pat myself on the back, I was in an episode. The title was “Streetwise.” The ultimate outcome, in typical SVU style, starts being about a rich girl who gets killed on the street and ends up being about a homeless cult. I was in there very early in a scene where Stabler and Olivia interrogate the rich girl’s boyfriend at a debutant ball, and its actually hilarious to me when I see it on TV because knowing to spot myself, it looks like I teleport; first I am over his shoulder, then I am on the stairs, then I am I in the doorway. They just kept pointing at me and saying “Okay you, come here.”

They reverse the immunity, arrest the girl, and the adopted family still stands by her side even though she was a horrible sociopath. They even view the video of Missy abusing their daughter and still don't turn on her.

Let’s not forget the coffee one; dead body is of a gold digger who was engaged to marry the heir to a coffee fortune. Turns out she also had a fling with the father, and in the end she was killed by the family lawyer. Who was herself in love with the son and ends up killing them both by yanking him off a roof. God I love this show.

God I love this show. God, that's another candidate for one of my favorites. If only because there is no goddamn way in the aftermath the dad wouldn't have sued every one of them out of their jobs because that murder-suicide was 100% their fault for doing absolutely nothing to restrain her. And you didn't even mention the part where the dad threw his son through a window.

If I recall this in order: It starts with them investigating a woman who was assaulted by a wannabe rapper. Then they find out says wannabe rapper has connections tona Russian monster who smuggled animals-including a tiger he cuts into steaks to eat and turtle eggs smuggled in a woman’s shirt. And it ends with said mobster’s #2 guy being revealed as an undercover cop.

I think the most ridiculous part of that episode is that this one - with its stupid animal shit and, "The monkey is in the basketball!" - is one where they did a framing device of Stabler clinging to life after being shot.
