While I never had any issue with them aside from their horrible customer service, the original version of wrestlecrate, had TONS of complaints about people not getting their orders and having their emails ignored altogether. They've since changed ownership. Another one was when I ordered SFV on Amazon, during their prime specials, I got a really good deal on it. Got home, opened the case, put it in my PS4 and got a disc-read error. I took it out and noticed the disc was a CDR with cheaply printed label on it. I emailed them immediately and got my money back right away. What's crazy was that the case and the booklet were the real deal.. For Wrestlecrate was that the one Wrestle Circus bought? I heard the complaints about the original owner, but that things improved once the Wrestle Circus people took over. I'm not sure if the Wrestle Circus people has since sold it as at least the Wrestle Circus promotion seems to be on indefinite hiatus. No clue. I used the wrestlecrate service back on 2016 and stopped 3 crates in after horrible customer service experience. The only reason I know it switched owners was because I got an email asking if I wanted to get a free shirt in exchange for them removing my negative feedback on their site. I said why not. Shirt was OK. Think I wore it once and placed in a drawer.

A few years ago I bought what I thought were genuine Oral B toothbrush heads over Amazon. I was sent clear fakes that almost destroyed my gums. I got refunded as soon as I disputed it so they knew exactly what they were selling.

My mom has white/silver hair and couldn't find white or silver Bobby pins anywhere in town. So we went on Amazon and ordered a bunch for a ridiculous price. When they finally showed up....they didn't show up. We got sent an empty box. All that was in it was a letter from Canada Post saying this was how the package came to them, they aren't responsible etc. I have a friend that works for Canada Post and he confirmed that's what they do when a box shows up damaged, so it was nothing against the post office.
Sent a complaint to the company I ordered the Bobby pins from, and received a reply that said "sometimes these things happen."
I asked for them to send me the Bobby pins, and they said they were out of stock, so I got a refund.
Paid damn near $40 for a f***ing empty box.

In the olden days there was an online CD dealer called Tunnel Records that claimed to have numerous rare discs.
They flat out would charge your card and never actually send anything. If you called, they would always act like they were just about to send it but never did.
Just straight crooks

I ordered a volume of DBZ Kai on Amazon and never got it. I wonder if it got recalled because of that music plagiarism controversy.

I honestly can't think of anything significant. There was one where I ordered my brother something for his birthday, just for it to arrive so late that it basically came on MY birthday two months later. So the seller contacts me and asks if I could review the item, and I replied that I hadn't received it yet but would when I did, and at that point, it was a month past the estimated date of arrival (I was trying to be patient because it was a Belgium seller) so she refunded me the money, and then ignored me when I informed her that I received the item after all and asked if she wanted to undo the refund. So I got the item and the money. Other than that, beyond refunds or whatever else, I've never had significant problems, probably because I'm overly paranoid and only buy from certain shops that I know are safe. If the item didn't have to be given that year and you wanted to be a real cheapskate you could just hold onto it until your brother's next birthday then give it to him P.S. I went to Belgium for the first time this year. Beautiful country and super nice people Yeah, my plan was to give him a set of keychains because he and I went to an Avenged Sevenfold/Breaking Benjamin/Bullet for my Valentine concert on his birthday and he collects keychains, but he was happy enough just to get the A7X and BFMV keychains, so I decided to keep the Breaking Benjamin one for myself and not complicate it any further, haha.

I ordered a "replica" ECW World Heavyweight belt from eBay. It arrived in a little manila envelope and inside was a miniature version of the belt. Which didn't match the description or pictures from the auction. This was before eBay was more buyer friendly and I lost my money. I couldn't get a refund since it wasn't over a certain amount.
A couple of years earlier, I bought some Star Wars figures from this seller. A week goes by and they haven't arrived. I email the guy and ask him what's going on. He tells me that they'll go out the next day. A few days later, nothing has arrived, he hasn't sent me a notice that they're on the way. He ended up screwing over several people in a few weeks doing that. I didn't get my money back from that one either.

I bought 3 Goosebumps books the choose your own adventure ones for someone's birthday. Took a bit to get here and of course they gave me the wrong title for one of them. I mean I know they both start with "The curse of" but ugh

I ordered a Laugh-In DVD from an ebay competitor (i wont mention the name). I had previously ordered a CR-Rom there and got the geniune article, but when the dvd came it was just a couple of dubbed dvds, not even labeled. It was still Laugh-In, but I soon found that the site I was ordering from specialized in bootlegs.
