So most of this first show was a mess as others have stated, but on the bright side, I now know who Desi Derata is. Also the main event wasn't great but it had a bit of an old school feel to it. Some of that might be because Alex Chamberlain looks like a generic babyface from the 80s, but I do like Kahagas' look. I'll certainly be watching next week, but hopefully things aren't as clustercrap as this week.

No better way to start the first episode of your big WGN debut by having Austin Aries come out and basically say he doesn't even want to wrestle anybody in the company and is just here to mess with the workers.

I will try to remember to DVR the next episode. But why does every wrestling promotion that gets a major television deal book their tv like TNA/dying days of WCW? Is it that hard to just book a basic wrestling television program these days? A lot of the territories seemed to get it right or at least not this bad.

Is it that hard to just book a basic wrestling television program these days? A lot of the territories seemed to get it right or at least not this bad. They probably already had everything set up for them. Tickets were most likely given away, judging by the majority of the fans who looked lost at what they were seeing. Some of them would cheer and clap, yet had this blank look on their faces. Looked a lot like the Eric Bischoff studio era of WCW.

I don't know second episode not that good. First half was like an ad for impact wrestling then AA in some Shit match. And all the matches were pretty sloppy.

Eh, I think this week's episode was much better than last week's.
Something is up with Fred the ref.
Nice to see Cheerleader Melissa in action again.
Austin Aries heeling it up as big shot World Champ was pretty funny.

I'd heard Hammerstone went full-on dime store Triple H. That's pretty bad.
Seriously, get rid of Fred the ref. There's three other refs there, no need to keep on someone who obv. doesn't know what they're doing.
Can Aries please just go away? Stupid to take up part of the show with his bullshit.
I am honestly very intrigued by the preacher's pre-taped promo.
Happy to see Royce Isaacs, a little surprised to see ol' Disco Inferno still kicking around.

Since I don't get WGN, I don't know what he said, but I know what gimmick he works around here, so I think I know where his promo will go. Stay tuned

No Fred the ref this week!
Good luck Jeff Cobb, you're gonna need the favor of the ancient Aztec gods to get anything watchable out of Wes Brisco.
I was so disappointed that last week's intriguing pretape resulted in...that. Kudos to the Demigod for his commitment, though. Must've taken hours to get that paint on.
Speaking of that, what was up with that tag match? It just fell apart at the end.

Wow looks like Chase and Riley have been eating/drinking too much lately. Chase was in better shape when the 60 year old Waffle Waitress attacked him at the BIW show earlier this year.

My DVR didn’t record anything after the intros for the tag match, but it doesn’t sound like I missed anything worth checking out.

I forgot to DVR (and watch) the first two shows since this is on so early in the morning, and I have so much wrestling to keep up with as it is.
"I hung out with the wrong crew, but I don't want to be like that no more."
Says the guy still wearing a biker jacket.
Tarver and The Hotshots have let themselves go since the last time I saw them on TV.
Tarver/Brisco was boring.
The Hotshots stupidly tried to go for the pin after Dark Child knocked the ref down for the DQ.
I liked seeing Disco back on TV, but I'm not sure what the point of that pizzeria segment was.
Cobb/Hawx was a good match, although the countout finish sucked.
This show needs better booking.

Something I finally noticed: "Championship Wrestling Of Hollywood" in the end credits. Really, credits person? Couldn't take a minute to make sure you had the right name? That's embarrassing. I liked seeing Disco back on TV, but I'm not sure what the point of that pizzeria segment was. It was pretty much just advertising a sponsor. Funny, though.

When Dark Child and Demigod come in with an angle and look like this, don't you have to put them over strong? Introduced and killed in the same week

You bring in a team off an interesting thing like that, you give them a local team to eat so that they look good. It's just common sense. If that was the intentional finish, that's even more stupid.

They need to shorten some of the matches Tarver Brisco should not have been 15 minutes those two were gassed 30 seconds into the damn match.

I'm interested in seeing what happens with Luke Hawx. I know dude has a reputation for being a jerk, but he had a great match with Cobb. Hopefully those issues werw put to rest and he's gotten better.
Demigod is someone I've seen on local shows here so I'm hopeful for the guy. He and Dark Child (Is that Chance Prophet?) make for an interesting team.
LOL Hotshots.
I don't wanna see Wes Brisco again, please and thank you.
