What I want is for the villain’s henchmen to be characters from Warner Bros. IP that nobody cared about.
“That’s right, it’s me, David Arquette from Ready to Rumble, and I brought all my friends, the cats from Cats Don’t Dance, the two headed dragon from Quest for Camelot, David Arquette from See Spot Run, the Road Rovers, the cast of Unhappily Ever After, the Cats and Dogs from Cats and Dogs, David Arquette from Eight Legged Freaks.....”

They should troll Lola fanboys by covering her up more. Have her come out into the court in a baggy costume. The Great Lo-Khan, hopping with a big hat and question mark mask. the biggest issue I have are the people are using fanart / fan edited screenshots to make their "point"...

And now the woke mob is coming for Pepe Le Pew: link The live-action scene was filmed by the pic’s first director, Terence Nance. Oh cool, nothing of value was lost, then.

And now the woke mob is coming for Pepe Le Pew: linkDave Chappelle pointed him out as a "f***ing rapist" and wondered why his nephews were watching it back in 2000.

The vitriolic rants on social media over “cancel culture” this week is highly hilarious to me. People are creating scandal over non-existent things that never happened. Mr. Potato Head is still Mr. Potato Head...no one demanded the brand be changed. No one demanded Dr. Seuss books stop being printed...the company did that on their own...LAST YEAR. No one demanded Pepe le Pew be pulled from Space Jam 2. His entire scene was him leaning a hard lesson about consent.
All these non-existent scandals and more brought to you by the same people that haven’t stopped crying about the NFL since 2016 and tried making Freedom Fries a thing. Just wait until that upcoming kid friendly animated adaption of Blazing Saddles comes out...

And let's be honest, it was probably going to end up as an extra feature on the DVD anyway so...cutting stuff is considered cancel culture now?
Are people going to get mad about the many Blade Runner cuts because we're cancelling other people's visions of the film?

I mean, that feels like a whole different thing, though. If people ask about the NanceCut, though, I might just lose faith in everything ever.

I was expecting some controversy over Pepe, but I would've guessed "Stereotype of French people."

Dave Chappelle pointed him out as a "f***ing rapist" and wondered why his nephews were watching it back in 2000. Oh, yeah, and that stuff is a problem too. They have used Pepe in later things dropping those uh... qualities. He was more just a suave gentleman type without going into the no means yes / lady chaser of his original cartoons.

And now the woke mob is coming for Pepe Le Pew: linkI get made fan of by most of my family for being 'woke', but I have to agree that this is f***ing stupid. Of all of the awful things in this country, Pepe Le f***ing Pew (a fake cartoon character) is not the battle that needs to be fought. Also, Dave Chapelle is a hypocrite and an asshole. I don't need to hear his opinion on fake Pepe Le Pew when he came out in defense of real life piece of shit Louis CK.

I didn't know there was a limit to how many "battles" could be fought at once.

Yeah, that’s a character that shouldn’t be around anymore. And he’s so far down the rung of legendary Looney Tunes characters that it’s not a big deal if he’s not around anymore.

I didn't know there was a limit to how many "battles" could be fought at once. Well, you see, apparently thousands upon thousands (if not millions) of people are only able to focus on a thing or two at a time like a giant hive mind as opposed to different segments focusing on a lot of different things depending on the issues that matter most to them. A social justice Borg collective, if you will.

And now the woke mob is coming for Pepe Le Pew: linkWill the same be said of this skunk? That coloring book says it's from 1990. When did Tiny Toons end, say 1994 or so? Has the character even been in any media in the nearly 30 years since?

Should be said again, from what the article says, this was likely the plan because it’s a scene that was done by the old director before they brought a new director in because it doesn’t fit their vision for the film.
The fact it happens to involve Pepe Le Pew is likely a massive coincidence.
