This week's Gem.... Stampede Reboot PilotAn attempt at reviving Stampede Wrestling with Tatanka, Jim Neidhart, and others; commentary by Mauro Ranallo Calgary, AB, Canada; Apr. 2, 1999 You sure it's Jim on the card? Wrestlingdata has this listed as the results for that show, and Jim's not on there (his cousin Jason Neidhart is, though) Well WHO else would it be?

Just watched the stampede pilot. The stand outs are Dick Butkus J.r who bears no resemblance to Dick Butkus and is also a martial artist and H. Ivy Thompson, yes H. Ivy.

Just watched that stampede pilot What the f*** was that I'm still curious about the crowd to that show. Was that an actual paying crowd there specifically for that show? Was it a part of some kind of larger festival? Because that's a huge crowd for that kind of show and it looked like they were into the matches.

I love the Hidden Gems section, probably one of the reasons why I still keep my WWE network subscription, hopefully they'll put out the 87 and 88 Crockett Cups in their entirety.

The first 5 matches are missing though. Correct. I got carried away by how dramatic an improvement this is on what we had.

It was taped, or aired, in April 1999. Calgary Stampede is in July. I haven’t watched the show but honestly, with how hot wrestling was at the time it wouldn’t surprise me if it was just a well publicised return of Stampede Wrestling that drew a good house. The Hart Family were gods in Calgary, it’s not much of a stretch for them to draw 2000 people.

Holy crap, I wouldn't have agreed to one strap match with Wahoo, much less a series of them. Poor Jimmy Garvin. I bet he can still feel that.

Baron Von Raschke should've had an extra belt to hold up his pants during that street fight with Manny Fernandez, geez.
This is great stuff here, hope they upload more Crockett house shows.
