I'd like to read a tell-all book about this.

I feel real bad for the employees that have to go through this, I know what it's like to go through losing a job suddenly when a company goes out of business and it sucks. As far as the games go as disappointed as I am about likely not getting a proper ending to the final season of the Walking Dead my biggest disappointment is not getting that 2nd season of the Wolf Among Us which is probably my favorite Telltale Game. And that's where fanfiction is going to come in and I could see people making fanfiction about how the final season of Telltale Walking Dead ends

I just feel so bad for everyone what works there. Super talented, so many long hours, and not even severance?

Yeh the Visual Novel/Point Click isnt the issue. The issue is that there can still be gameplay and variations on the genre instead of stickign to a flawed formula. But i doubt there will be backlash to the genre a sa whole as there still is plenty games like that selling.
If anyone needs to scratch their Visual Novel itch may i recommend va-11 hall-a?

Damn....I only got the first Batman game a couple of months ago, and looked forward to years more of similar releases. I know I can get some of their other games on Amazon, but it's never nice to see a studio close down.

At this point, any games completed after the workers have been laid off en masse have no meaning, it's hollow. Those people aren't going to get any money for those games, it'll go to creditors and whoever is left. It means nothing.

Not just that, they’re saying this when they didn’t even give their employees severance pay for their work when we all know full well they can afford to do that. I’m someone who has the previous games and wanted to wait until the final chapter to complete all of them in a row some way. I’m probably not going to bother.

I understand the sentiment, but presumably the final 2 episodes have already been written and voice recorded so the original worker's story will live on. The writers and workers deserve their story to be concluded and while it certainly wouldn't be ideal, I'd take another company coming in to fund it, probably because of their own love for the story, over nothing. Hell, if Square Enix / DONTNOD came in for example, what's to stop them hiring the telltale employees to carry on their work to see it through?

f*** this sucks. I’ll never get to see Batman season 3. I made the Joker a hero just like everyone did apparently.

Those writers and voice actors are most likely in Unions and they’ll probably be involved in any deal so those people get royalities from their work, especially if it went to a bigger studio like Square. The developers who didn’t get severance pay for being let go, though? Their work won’t see a dime. The stuff’ll just go to another studio where their own staff’ll finish it who’ll likely be let go afterwards because the industry hates developers. And considering how long it’s taken to get to this stage? Most of the team’ll probably be in other jobs by then. And good on the developers for the lawsuit. That statement from Telltale was the most Head-in-the-sand thing I read in a while.

The programmers and screwed, and probably won't see anything from whatever sales TWD finale might garner if it comes out.

Telltale has some gall to try and do this after f***ing over their employees while most of them didn't get any form of severance pay and a lot can't even collect unemployment. Bunch of scumbags.
Their games aren't really my thing, but if they were. I wouldn't give another cent to this company. Hope the employees' class action suit gets every remaining dime.
