I’m on the last episode of Back to the Future and it just makes me sad again about the whole situation because the game is actually a lot of fun. The staff at Telltale did some good stuff and I hope they get what they are due and then some

Jim Sterling talks about the lawsuit and Telltale's shady management leading to it. Along with how the way it screwed over its employees will taint and overshadow any positive legacy of its games.
Language warning because it's Jim Sterling.

Hell, I'll finish the final Walking Dead for them.
But they'll be a LOT of breakdancing, just so they know.

Honestly instead of finishing the Walking dead, I would much rather see Telltale use whatever money they have left to pay their staff that they f***ed over.

For what it's worth, they've gone ahead and put up the Switch version of season two of Batman. So I guess better hope that doesn't have any major bugs since they probably won't be fixed.

I enjoyed the first one but I’m leery of this one seeing it’s not gonna get patched but I’ve seen a few places saying it might not be available in the eshop very long.

According to sources, seems like Telltale's looking to give the project to another company to finish who'll hire old employees to finish the project. Now, the story goes further into it and all of it seems super shady to me. Especially since, again, none of it is going towards the severance of the fired employees. kotaku.com/telltale-is-looking-for-another-company-to-hire-its-sta-1829503254

Considering Skybound almost certainly had no real video game resources at it's disposal... This should turn out okay.

This looks like a dev team looking for their big break. It's a high risk, high reward operation. There's always a chance it could work, but I'd have to say that Chainsaw is probably right.

Telltale Games has always been seen as the millennial version of LJN (the old NES and later Genesis/SNES games publisher that did movie/comic book cheap cash grab tie-ins but the games largely sucked ass as any AVGN youtube series fan will attest to as fact). I can't not say good riddens to bad rubbish here.

I have never seen anyone make that comparison. It also doesn't really work as LJN kinda ignored most of the property so it didnt really fit at all.
Tell tales stories and style fit every one of the properties I've played of them.

Any chance they pick up any of the Telltale people who were let go, or are they (technically) too new to take on any new people?

I can't not say good riddens to bad rubbish here. Not...at all, and I'm pretty sure I've never seen anyone make that comparison. For a start, most of the Telltale games were good to great.

yeah the first ones under different management. At some point Telltale became a "let's ruin the memory of another franchise movie as a tie-in game!" like LJN started doing on the NES decades before, and it's always a recipe for disaster in terms of long term brand appeal
