Love Oshie, but that wasn't an egregious hit. Ovi called it dirty, but something tells me he stopped short of using that word about any of, say, Tom Wilson's hits. Yeah looked like Oshie took a weird fall. From the replays I saw, he wasn't really close to the board.

Okay, Flames. Good joke. Now, cut it out and somehow score 4 times in 5 minutes.
Not 4 penalties, 4 goals.

Of the teams who ended the season with more than 100 points:
Tampa and Calgary are eliminated. Boston and San Jose are currently down in their series. Washington is tied, and down a 1st liner the rest of the playoffs probably. NYI, thought by many to be the pretender of the group, swept of course.
NHL's parity, ladies and gentlemen.

The two best teams in the league finished with a combined record of 1-8 in the PLAYOFFS!

An 82 game season seems pretty pointless if the two best teams win a combined ONE game in the playoffs.

He first grabbed him so Oshie's direction was towards the wall and then shoved him down. It was a BS hit.

The way the Jets finished this season, this cannot come as a surprise.

Blues move on! GG Jets. Binnington was great, our team really turned it on the last 4 periods of the series and turned around what seemed like a sure 3-2 series defecit last game.

Was at the game itself and the Blues just flat out came out there in finish it mode. The fact they only allowed 1 shot the whole second period just says it all. Hell of a battle at the end. Schwartz getting hot at the right time where it counts the most in the playoffs. Jets played a tough series. Being in that crowd was amazing.

He first grabbed him so Oshie's direction was towards the wall and then shoved him down. It was a BS hit. He never grabbed Oshie. He went to play on the outside, came back in and gave him a small cross-check. Oshie lost his balance and went awkwardly into the boards. As far as dirty hits, it's not even on the radar this playoffs. It was a nothing play with a terrible result, sadly. 2 minutes for cross-checking.

Schwartz getting hot at the right time where it counts the most in the playoffs. Jets played a tough series. Being in that crowd was amazing. That series was weird in that once Berube changed the lines before game 5 and mid-game 5, the guys who were our biggest busts broke out. ROR scored on the PP, and he had been quiet most of the series. Schenn scored on a killer Sunny assist, and Schenn had been quiet with ROR all series. Schwartz, who had been our worst forward, scored 4 goals. And Fabbri, who had been a scratch, was one of our most dangerous players. All of our weaknesses turned into positives by Berube making the right choices and putting our guys in a position to succeed. Except Edmundson. He just sucks.

I love the Jets, second favourite team in the league after Toronto, but holy f*** do I hate Byfuglien. And I canβt believe Maurice burned that challenge in the first 30 seconds based on what Buff said. Ugh.

Wasn't small It's also a cross check to an unsuspecting player which is a major penalty, according to Sportsnation who had several angles of the incident.
