Baby Yoda is unfairly cute.

Never expected someone to mention Blind Wave here. Kinda makes me happy. The only reaction videos I watch. You just don't get them reacting to something, you get them talking about it afterwards. Every reaction is a podcast. Yeah. It's not really interesting if a reaction is just reacting to whatever it is they're reacting to. The discussions make it interesting. Otherwise it's just a lot of goofy faces in the youtube thumbnail, which a lot are guilty of. One other reaction videos that would be similar, with long discussions is Semblance of Sanity, though they lean far more into anime so it's more niche than it already is.

It might be to maintain the Star Wars hype for the new movie instead.

Episode 2 watched
Loved it. I've always enjoyed Jawas so seeing them get an episode was great--I liked how they had different eye color and robes to the Tatooine Jawas too.
Baby Yoda is adorable! Gotta think Disney wishes they'd had it appear in the new movies to really capitalise on the merchandise because Baby Yoda plushies would make all the money in the world with the main movies behind them.
But yeah, this show is very good.

It feels a bit...cheap...but in a GOOD way. Like, it has a budget but it's gone for a bit of a rough and tumble presentation, like a throwback to the original trilogy. Very different to the extremely polished films that have been released since Force Awakens. I like that.

It's just refreshing to see a hero show real weakness consistently. He's both super dangerous and beatable at the same time. And it's mental and physical. He lets shit get to him. He shows real relateable feelings. He's equal parts idiot, smart, hero, villain, kind, nasty, tough and weak. He's resourceful but not bullshit Batman resourceful. He could both beat a Jedi and get schooled by a Jawa. Makes every situation interesting since there is no obvious result. Basically he's booked like a really good pro wrestler

Heh, Baby Yoda is trending right now. And in the Blind Wave reactions for this series, the whole crew, Eric in particular seems to be willing to go to war for Baby Yoda. Disney's going to make a killing when they release a Baby Yoda plush. I THINK the character should be spoiler tagged just to be safe. Having said that, one plush, one Pop. STAT!

Basically he's booked like a really good pro wrestler Yeah, I like that about it. It makes a change having a hero who does get his ass kicked, but in a way that makes sense. Like he demolished the Jawas, then let his guard town and they zapped him--which also makes perfect sense because his armour is all metal, so gotta think electricity will be a huge weakness. One thing I like is that they're sticking with keeping his face hidden--usually, in like, the Marvel movies and the new Star Wars, Disney can't wait to get the mask or helmets off. But, so far, they're keep The Mandalorian covered which is great. It's proof you don't need facial expressions to get across emotions and feelings--The Mandalorian gets across his fondness of the cute Yoda, his respect for "I have Spoken guy", his annoyance with the Jawas etc just with his body language and voice. It's excellent.

Second thing I checked out once finally getting Disney +. Definitely lives up to the hype for me. I absolutely love the weight and aesthetic of the show. And Mando is a surprisingly captivating character. Can’t wait for more.

So 50 years would put the birth of "The Child" when? Before the prequels?

Such a brilliant line. I really, really love Jon Favreau as a creative anything. Kinda sucks I’ve see some “hardcore” Star Wars fans give it shit or call it lazy. I think it’s walking the line between acknowledging popular Star Wars aspects while being its own thing just fine.
