Which is a big reason why it's taken me so long to finally join this generation, and also why I'm spending less time on gaming nowadays. It takes anywhere between 3-6 hours from the moment I put the disc in the tray until I can actually play the average game. Plus my game collection far exceeds the storage space available to me, meaning that if I want to go back and replay a game I've already completed, I'll have to redownload it. Gaming is supposed to be a fun, spontaneous experience, not something you have to plan a day in advance. Yea, I got a 2 TB about 1 year and a half after the PS4 came out and have never really come close to using it up even with Red Dead on my PS4 being over 100GBs I got my PS4 connected to the wire so it makes it much faster thankfully and the best thing they could have done was the pre order feature they did so you can play the game directly at 12 instead of waiting 3-6 hours like we used to have to Another good benefit of downloads as you can usually always find games on sale and I typically will buy them on the cheap and just stash them until I feel like downloading and playing them (Uncharted series, Mass Effect, etc...) Sadly, I'm living with three roommates who all also use up a lot of bandwidth, and my Xbox is on a different floor to the router, so going wired isn't an option... not that it would make much difference, as my landlord won't entertain the option of upgrading the broadband. I'm pretty much stuck at 4mbs at peak connectivity.

PS4 backwards compatibility is definitely a plus. They said the same thing about the PS3, and we saw how long that lasted...

Eh, the main difference was the hardware made it a pain to do a backwards comparability thing with because they were idiots who wanted POWER over anything else so I can see why that wasn’t as easy as they thought. Presumably, it’ll be way easier to have backwards compatibility now then back then.

...I skipped PS4, so if I get back into the game with a PS5 and am able to retroactively okay PS4 games, that’s a huge plus.

They're going to force you to buy one b/c optimal gaming will be on 4K TVs and not your standard HDTV. It feels like the PS4 just came out and just started to hit their stride like 2-3 years ago.

Ray tracing GPU? Unless the tech becomes significantly cheaper between now and the PS5's release, it will be a minor miracle if this thing is under $1000.

PS4 slickly went $100 less than Xbox last year but i'm expecting both consoles to be touching $600 at least
Iphone bumped its prices to $1000 with the X so the consoles may follow suit. Could be a situation where they start doing payment plans to if it bumps to $1000 but that would be very risky

Meh. I'll just wait for the PS5 Super Slim Pro while I fight through my backlog.

Hopefully it has the rumoured Mass Effect remaster. That and backwards compatibility are all it will take for me.

Feel like I just got my ps4 PS4 doesn't feel as weathered as the PS3 did when I was ready for a new council
Considering I purchased my PS4 day 1, still doesn't feel like that long ago I bought it

It being backwards compatible means I'll probably get it. Still don't feel like I used my PS4 that much, though. I have my PS3 Phat that can play PS1/PS2/PS3, so only having to have one extra unit to play PS4 and PS5 is ideal.
