He did use it at both ECW One Night Stand events. The composer of the song, Harry Slash, sued WWE for using the ECW theme song "This Is Extreme" during the Invasion angle. WWE eventually settled with Slash by purchasing the rights to the music he composed for ECW. Which explains why his music was dubbed in Network edits. I never knew that until now. Actually, depending on the time frame, it may have been dubbed because for a while he was using "War Machine" by KISS, which the theme in question is a "Jimmy Hart" remix of. On topic, I did like his tag title run with Spike Dudley.

Specifically remember it from the night Jerry Lawler invaded ECW.

Sabotaged right from the start with his "he beat Kurt, but it didn't really count" debut.

Never saw Tazz or anyone for that matter, in ECW so I never had any affinity previously. I couldn’t stand him. Thought he sucked.

I was live for the first of two appearances as the actual ECW Champion on WWF TV...which was completely overshadowed by Chris Jericho "winning" the WWF Title and Stone Cold being announced to return at Backlash following his neck surgery.
Poor Tazz.

Like I said, WWE bought Slash's ECW music (I believe in 2005), so they really shouldn't be replacing his works on anything. What's really odd is that Taz's two Slash themes have been removed on the weekly ECW TV episodes but are intact on the PPVs. I have not gotten there. I was mainly watching stuff from 1999. OK, the use of "War Machine" was before that. Specifically remember it from the night Jerry Lawler invaded ECW. Taz was using the ECW knockoff version "Path of Rage" by the time Lawler showed up. He had stopped using "War Machine" some time in early-1997.

For me, it was his size. He always looked small in a WWE ring, where in a smaller ECW ring he just seemed to fit better.
Thought the same thing about Rhyno, too. Its tough being a badass when you look like a mini.

All I remember are his ''THE MOOD IS ABOUT TO CHANGE'' pre-debut videos (which I can't seem to find on YouTube) and his match against Angle. It was all downhill after that. *sigh* Yep. And nobody wanted to work with RVD either cause he was busting people's mouths open every match, but they pushed him. Karen Angle even complained about him, is a story I remember. I also remember hearing that Trips and Michaels told Umaga he couldn't wear black and green, because it was their thing. f*** off with that stuff.

To me, he stopped looking “legit” as soon as he started wearing that baggy tracksuit. He just looked like a jabroni. If he acted and looked the way he did in ECW, I could buy him kicking Steve Austin’s ass... but not in that stupid tracksuit. Nah he looked badass in the tracksuit and awful in the olf women's bathing suit. At least that's what I thought.

I always found that phrase pretty unimpressive too. It depended 100% on delivery.
You might be able to beat me but I'm not gonna be a good sport about it.

I loved Tazz's WWE theme and that first match with Angle. They really made sure he looked like a million bucks.
Speaking of Kurt, before both Tazz and Kurt debuted (Kurt in late '99), I was on some dirt sheet website that listed the name of a man about to debut, and it was Kurt Angle. News was swirling around back then about Taz leaving ECW and going to WWF, so I just presumed Kurt Angle was Taz's real name for the longest time until Kurt actually debuted and very clearly was not Taz. I was a kid super new to the internet, so I guess I just tried to put two-and-two together.

The exclamation point of how done Taz was came at the Rumble in 2001, lifted onto the top turnbuckle like a child by Kane and dumped out in just ten seconds.

I wasn't familiar with Tazz but I knew he was a big deal from the vignettes and the monster reaction he got at Royal Rumble. I thought his debut was awesome. There are only a handful of Tazz moments I remember after that. Looking tiny in his match against Triple H and eating a pedigree. Feuding with Lawler. Wrestlemania X7 where he botches running the ropes. To be honest, I don't think Tazz was ever really going to work in WWF. I loved his run on commentary though.

His debut at the Royal Rumble in 2000 is my favourite debut of all time. Everything about it, from Angle on the mic to the crowd to the music to the look to the match to the finish was perfect. Pretty much everything after that was crap.
