I'm rooting for them but it would be so TNA of them to die when they finally got smart people running it.

Well it’s been too long since a proper TNA death thread.
Not even the TV guide channel wants them anymore.

Isn't it their highest rated show still?

Isn't it their highest rated show still? They were the highest rated show on Spike and DA yet they still were moved around before being cancelled. TNA is that mangled zombie woman that was crawling in the first episode ever of the Walking Dead, at one point it’s just sad that they lingered on this far, it’s just time to put them out of their misery.

How many times have they changed their time slot over the years? Counting both night and time moves, this is the sixteenth time Impact's changed timeslots.

Not shocked. The ratings are just not there. Bear in mind I don't watch, even with the praise I hear for Callis' work, it seems like they have become a product aimed at the indy crowd. Jarrett had its flaws but realised you need to attract a larger audience for a successful tv show. Even if it's nostalgia by bringing acts from the past or guys that can creat some buzz. As much as a I'm not a big fan of them, I would have tried to lure Enzo and Cass on Impact. It creates interest, some kind of buzz, gets people talking. WWE fans would want to check it out. These guys are sport entertainment that knows how to get a crowd going. As opposed to say a johnny Impact who's a great wrestler but people won't turn the channel on impact cause he is there.

I've seen people try to spin this but it's impossible; any way you look at it, it's bad.
The only way this isn't horrible is if this is only for the rest of the year and it's renewed and starting next year it's back to 8 or 9 p.m.

Callis and D’Amore cater to the indy crowd out of necessity, because indy talent is the only thing they can afford. Enzo and Cass’ would charge to much and I guarantee you that they wouldn’t create a buzz, just like Alberto or Lashley never created a buzz for impact. TNA could get a time machine and sign George Hackenschmidt, Lou Thesz, Rikidozan, El Santo, Bruno Sammartino, Hogan, Flair, Austin, Rock, and Cena in their prime, and nobody would tune in.

This company despite incompetence, negligence, lawsuits, neo nazis, Jeff Jarrett as champion, and Russo as a booker, somehow managed to last longer than wcw and ecw.
Can they seriously move past this? And if they get cancelled is there anything lower than pop tv?

Wouldn't it be the most TNA thing ever for them to finally get their house in order, become creatively solid, with a happy roster and shows in venues outside of the impact zone, only to be killed by the loss of a TV deal?

I'm rooting for them but it would be so TNA of them to die when they finally got smart people running it. Exactly. I'll be really disappointed if the company survived so much idiocy and mis-management only to finally get canceled and shut down when they have competent people in charge who actually give a damn about the product and not just themselves. I want a televised alternative to WWE, esp in America (other than ROH), and I want a place for men and women to have the opportunity to work and get SOME exposure. Sure, jokes can be made, but the more work available the better. People shouldn't be out of a job b/c you think something should die b/c it's popular to kick the company while it's down, and it's finally trying to find its legs again. Hope that Dixie never works in wrestling again, or that Hogan/Bischoff f*** off from being one-trick pony's, or that Jarrett never goes back to ruin what his ego helped ruin the momentum of in the first place. This is like blaming Roman for his shitty booking, it's not the overall company's fault, or the people that work there now, that it was run by the worst kinds of people. Personally, I hope it survives.

The biggest problem with the show is that they seem to be copying Lucha Underground. Speaking of Johnny Impact, the dude is a legit star on LU but he is weaksauce on Impact, mostly because Chris DeJoseph isn't writing for him, and Johnny Mundo without Chris DeJoseph is like Pizza without cheese. It just doesn't work.
And Enzo and Cass would have no impact in Impact. The company doesn't seem to be able to build stars.
