Dixie Carter actually pays for some advertisement... and buys 2 billboards across the street from Titan Towers. as if Vince cared. Where they'd never run a show. All the while house shows around the country get zero promotion. Part of me thinks this was Russo shooting for a job back with WWE, trying to appeal to the side of Vince that likes ballsy moves, not realising how pathetic it looked (like most things he does)

I will argue that this was not a random stupid minor thing and that it is a random stupid idiotic knobheaded major moronic thing that TNA did. I remember that speech ended up costing them a lot of goodwill that they never got back.

They did one at the Dome At Oakdale in Wallingford, Connecticut on 02/12/2012. They did have one scheduled at the Ballpark at Harbor Yard in Bridgeport on 08/06/2017, but it was cancelled.

People for so long just wanted TNA to get out of its own way. Instead, Dixie risked and lost her company because she needed Vince Russo to stay on staff despite literally everyone telling her not to (including Spike)

Can we just nominate the Dixie era as a whole, or does she fall under “random stupid major thing”?

Dixie getting her make up done and ordering the Knockouts to stand aside while she sat first on the makeup chair, despite the fact that she wouldn’t be appearing on the show.
It’s a combination of f***ing up small things and big things that establishes Dixie Carter as the biggest idiot to ever promote.

It's why I hope Alvarez eventually writes Death of TNA, because I want to see how and when Dixie's ego inflated to the extreme degree it did.

A member of creative, I’m guessing Russo, convinced Dixie that she made a great character, specially as a heel. Dixie ran away with it and also tried to get her own reality show. Then she actually paid for a crew to film her so she could sell a pilot of a reality show.

Literally letting your company die because you refuse to fire someone that everyone dislikes is such a bold thing to do.

It's absolutely a thing he would do. 1. it worked in the attitude era didn't it bro?! 2. Russo is a massive kissass (and to whomever was in charge... despite "loving Jarrett" in WCW and the early days of TNA... as soon as Dixie came on he became her boy.) using some form of "wow you are so talented and awesome you should be on the show" sound exactly like something he'd say. 3. How close Dixie was with Russo... leading to more stupid things like "if I ever hear Fire Russo chants again I'm firing someone else from creative!"

I'm almost certain that, while Russo had a hand in making her this insufferable, it was still in Dixie to be like this. He either brought out the worse in her, or she just hid it well in her first few years running TNA.

I was saying being the one to put the idea of Dixie being on screen being Russo... not that Dixie bears no blame of it.

Russo repaid her by burying her and telling Destination America that the company was in awful shape.
