I can't believe he went mental over a short joke. From what I gathered hearing him in interviews, he has lost a lot of opportunities in wrestling due to his size and even considered retirement a couple of times. He has deep issues with that.

Rey Mysterio is shorter than him and he’s about a million times the star that Aries is, it’s just an excuse for Aries.

Rey broke in thanks to his uncle who was already a star in Mexico, also because of his family connections, he had opportunities to work in the biggest Mexican and Japanese companies before making it to the states in ECW. Aries had to starve in the indies for about four years before ROH started booking him. Yes Rey is much more talented than Aries, but he also had it easier.

He better not be upset about Johnny getting the rub, Johnny should be getting pushed right now, hell, HE’S ON SURVIVOR RIGHT NOW!
And Survivor is still a fairly big hit.
(I don’t think he got voted out yet, I need to catch up)

Until last week I didn't even realize anyone considered Aries particularly small. Maybe compared to old school WWE hulking bodybuilder types, but there's been tons of major names on the indie scene and even in WWE who are around the same size as him. Even seeing him in the ring with Johnny Russell Madness, he's clearly taller than Aries but he's hardly towering over him.
I don't think anyone would pay attention to his height at all if they hadn't noticed that he'll do a whole diva freak out over it.

He may have had an easier in, but at the end of the day he became a legend because he was so much better at lucha than pretty much anyone. Aries is good, but if you’ve got Aries and a guy that’s just as good but bigger, you’re likely going to go with the bigger guy. He never had anything that anyone else didn’t have, good wrestlers are a dime a dozen, where guys like Rey come around once in a blue moon.

Bryan Alvarez just reported on Wrestling Observer that Aries has gone home and won’t be at the tapings. Bye, bitch. Aries, not you.

I've song Aries praise a good amount of times over the last few months as being highly talented despite being a major ass hole which is his problem
No, he's not the ideal wrestler size but neither is Adam Cole or Ricochet. The dude attitude is what has and will always hold him back despite him having a relatively very good career when you consider he's at stops almost everywhere and carved out a good name for himself but on the flipside when shit don't get his way he burns that bridge with those people and they don't want to f*** with him anymore.

Besides that, having it easier doesn't guarantee it will be handed to you your whole life or better yet it will make you a star. You can make cases Bo Dallas, Curtis Axel, Ted Dibiase Jr were all handed jobs in the WWE but that didn't push them to superstardom. You still have to work hard to be the best and Rey was no doubt the best in a deep field of wrestlers

I smell a work. If Aries went off script why did the production crew switch to the camera focusing on Aries walking out rather than the new champion celebrating in the ring?
Looks to me like someone has returned to the company Bro!

It’s never an excuse to try and kill the town, I’m just trying to understand why he basically killed his career. Aries started in the late nineties, way before Cole or Ricochet, from what I gather during that era, the business wasn’t that nice for small guys like Aries, I think he still carries that stuff with him. Chikara and ROH didn’t even existed, let alone PWG, the indies were ruled by six foot six guys and legends around that size. Colt Cabana told a cruel story about Bobby Heenan taking a look at Jimmy Jacobs and telling him to quit the business. Say whatever you want about him but there are no stories I’m aware of that Aries refused to put someone over or ruined the match. There’s gotta be something more about this if this isn’t a work.

They need all the attention they can get right now and what better way to get attention than to pull a worked shoot angle where everyone thinks somebody walked out?
We’re talking about TNA. Mission accomplished.

He seems like such a nasty little man.
Making him champ was like Alberto 2.0.

Plus height really doesn't matter in Mexico too. It much harder for a smaller wrestler to found work in America compare to other countries.

Where else can he work now? TNA, WWE and ROH won't want him.
