Thanks to Bruce Prichard and Jim Cornette Dick Togo will forever be "dick, to go." On the subject of Kaientai, I'm STILL not sure how to pronounce Mens Teioh's last name. I have always pronounced it TAY-OH and i am not even sure if thats right

Portugese pronunciations are weird. God help us if they get some really Irish names going. I wanted Becky Lynch to be named Niamh Ó Súilleabháin and have interviewers ask her how to pronounce it ‘Just like it’s spelled, you daft bastard!’

I used to run an online Christian radio station. A church once reached out to us about promoting an event where Ted DiBiase was speaking. When my business partner first told me about it, he said, "Ted De-base." I didn't want to make him feel bad, but I thought, "You didn't watch wrestling growing up, did you?" ... Also, I got with some guys to watch WM33. When discussing the SDL women's title match (& with the speculation running at the time that Asuka might make her main roster debut), we were making our predictions and I mentioned the possibility of Asuka (pronouncing it the mostly correct way as "AHS-kah"). One of the guys asked, "Who?" I repeated, "Asuka." He repeated, "Who?" I said, "Asuka, from NXT." He was like, "Oh, you mean Ah-SOO-kah." ... I can't criticize too much, though, because I've had my own issues with pronunciation... "Yokozuma," Levesque as "Le-veSk," etc. Even still, I want to read Nia Jax as "NEE-ya."

I have a friend who insists on saying Mark Hendry no matter how often he is corrected.
Also as a kid i had only read about Razor Ramon in the magazines for like a year before actually seeing him. I had not realised it was pronounced “Rimone” and thought it was like Raymond. Everybody Loves Razor Ramon.

Going to many shows over Mania weekend, not even the wrestling companies seem to really know. I swear every show I went to he was on it was pronounced opposite than the show before it.

Yeah, Asuka is an easy one to mispronounce if you're not familiar with Japanese. Joey Styles constantly calling that one guy "the Great Sa-Soo-Kay" during Barely Legal bugged me.

Did anyone ever tell the Warrior he wasn't facing "Ho Kogan" at WM VI in 1990?

To be fair, if not for a period in my 20s when I was into anime, I probably wouldn't have known the proper pronunciation of Asuka either.
