So as a fan of Impact I thought I'd make this thread for positive or at least fair but critical talk of the product for people who actually like the promotion or product. Please don't bring the usual "lolTNA" talk in here, there's plenty of places to do that.
Well BFG was pretty dang good and even with the stuff going on with AA I'm super excited for the product going forward. Homecoming looks good as a concept and the first thing I said when I saw it was "I hope The Flying Elvises are in the opener" and I stand by it. Fallah Bah is one of my top dogs right now but I sadly don't see what's on the horizon for him. Maybe a #1 contenders feud with Page/Sydal? I see a lot in Killer Kross, if they go for Aries/Impact again I hope Kross gets his shot first and eventually breaks away. Wanna see what that boy can do on his own, his first few weeks were great.
I hear rumblings of a Fenix push? Dude deserves it, he's the next big masked wrestler as far as I can see. Handled right there's a Rey Mysterio level worker right there.

I genuinely enjoy the product. It's not for everyone, there's a very strong LU influence, but it's generally a fun show to watch. It's far from perfect, but it's a good way to kill 2 hours. I do hope the Aries thing isn't a worked shoot tho
Unfortunately, I rarely get to see it tho because I don't have either channel it airs on in Canada.

Yeah, Impact is the best it's been in years. The Lucha Bros. are incredible & should be Tag Champions soon, I think oVe is a good heel trio(especially Sami & Jake's whole "Sami is my hero & I want to be just like him" act), Cage & Kross have been killing it & both are future World Champs. I thought LAX vs. OGz was one of the best feuds in wrestling in 2018. Tessa has been fantastic since joining IW, and I think the KO division has definitely picked up since she's been KO Champ, I also dig the recent signing of Jordynne Grace, which is a good pickup for them & the Allie/Su/Rosemary/Kiera story has at least been entertaining. I also dig Fallah, dude's just so entertaining & a really likable babyface(hell, he even managed to make people like KM).
How could I forget Moose Money? He's been gold since turning heel(always waiting to see what ridiculous outfit he'll wear each week...like this week's white Shaolin Monk outfit š...and his thing for McKenzie).

The product and the talent is improving I'll give them that, I just hope they stop doing Russo storylines.
I hope they find their own identity and don't transfor into Lucha Underground lite.

Honestly, just from what I've seen, TNA has been bordering between a perfectly acceptable wrestling show and a... geniunely good wrestling show.
For a long while, they just had no real talent to work with but now, they got plenty of guys who can have good matches. They took a gamble on the nex LAX dudes and it seems to be paying off as they've developed into a good team.
I wouldn't mind recommending the show to others. It's not mindblowing but if you got time to kill, it's certainly not bad.

I've missed the last few but I watched 3 or 4 weeks in a row and enjoyed it way more than Raw. Whether it's just because it was a shorter show and doesn't drag I don't know. Not everything lands but when it does it's cool.

the commentary is much better with Callis in the booth. Hiring Garrett Kidney was a good idea for online

I hope Moose and Kross become tag team champs soon, their chemistry and teamwork keeps getting better, I liked how they mangled Dreamer.

They did the impossible and turned the ship around, largely by sitting down and actually taking a long-term plan through one stage after another, and along the way restructuring the way they do business and how they treat their talent. I was in the 'It's unsavable, burn it to the ground' camp, but TNA actually found people sensible enough to fix problems I had figured were just unfixable. There's still some problems that do seem unfixable, but the real harms and insanities they were into are at least dealt with.

Yeah, Anthem deserves a lot of credit for recognizing the issues and putting in the effort and money to make it work. It would have been all to easy for them to say "f*** it" and sell/shut it down. The new style with talent sharing, showing what those talents do elsewhere, and getting it outside of the Impact Zone in a way that doesn't destroy the bottom line is quite refreshing. I love Tessa and Cage getting a chance to show their talent off on a bigger platform and getting people like Fallah Bahh and Killer Kross exposure.

Loving this thread so far guys, it's amazing!
So I'm going to come out and say it, I love Eddie Edwards and if this whole gimmick was less hammy I don't think it would be as good. He seems like he's having the time of his life doing something different that isn't "wrestler guy". To me he's everything "Lunatic Fringe" Dean Ambrose should be, it might be my favourite crazy gimmick that's not necessarily emo or brooding going.

The company wouldve been in better shape if Anthem didnt hire Jarrett in 2017, last year was a complete waste in all aspects to the point they almost go out of business.
A drunk Jarrett giving tv time to Karen, Prichard, and friends, while burying Drake, EC3, Rosemary etc because "FK U, TNA IS DEAD, DEAL WITH IT!!".

A drunk Jarrett giving tv time to Karen, Prichard, and friends, while burying Drake, EC3, Rosemary etc because "FK U, TNA IS DEAD, DEAL WITH IT!!". Another thing to give them credit for is finding the trustworthy "wrestling people" to give things to. Jarrett wasn't, and he quickly exposed his ideas as being bad, bringing in his old friends and that whole GFW sale in what was clearly him just trying to save GFW and "reclaim what was his". The biggest problem for non-wrestling people trying to put their money into wrestling is the selfish carny f***s who run amok in their financier's ignorance. One of the most lasting and still-true things Cornette ever said is that in wrestling there's people who have knowledge and people who have money, and the two rarely meet. In Callis and D'Amore, they've found two guys with knowledge and ideas that may not be the best, but which have steered the ship in a better direction and given them something to grow on. They cycled through so many old TNA management people in the Jarrett year, but settled on what seem to be the two who are most likely to make something of what they're running. It could have been so easy to let Jarrett continue running things in his downward spiral, or to let his buddies steer the ship in his absence, but they made the right choices on who to work with and now it's starting to mean something.

I genuinely enjoy the show most of the time. Itās by no means perfect and thereās still work to be done, but the fact that theyāve turned around at all is a minor miracle in and of itself.
Some things that I like: -Fallah Bahh. Hopefully they do more with him as he has a weird charisma and people seem to love the dude. He did the impossible and made KM entertaining. -Pentagon and Fenix. Hopefully they push them back up to the top of the card. -Cage getting some good exposure. I think that he needs to pick his spots better with his Lucha stuff though, it loses its specialness when heās doing all of the crazy stuff every match, -The Mack. Dude should get pushed to the moon. So much charisma. -Moose and Kross. They should dominate the tag division for a while, perhaps murderize Aries if he turns back up.
Some things that I donāt like: -Alisha and Su Yung are two of the worst wrestlers out there. -OVE. These dudes just donāt entertain me at all. -Tommy Dreamer. Dude shouldnāt be doing anything on TV in 2018.
Overall itās a good show. Certainly more watchable than the WWE most weeks, which is pretty amazing considering the talent and money that the E has.

Positive stuff about Impact -
Killer Kross - This dude has IT, and should be pushed as one of the top heels on Impact. Demon Bunny - The Undead Realm storyline has been entertaining, and can't wait till Allie and Rosemary are a team again. Tessa Blanchard - She is great. Willie Mack - This dude is awesome, should be pushed as one of the top faces. Fallah Bahh - He is one of the few likable faces in the company, hugely entertaining and one of the best promos in wrestling today. The Lucha Brothers - Penta should have held the title to and main evented BfG instead of Aries.
The show could be a lot better. They need to do something to make Eddie Edwards likable again. The dude really needed character development, but turning him into a straight up lunatic that has alienated all of his friends wasn't a good result (though his theme song is great). Bringing back the Championship Committee would help with the logic of the show and explain why shit is happening. And speaking of Championships, they need to bring the Tag and X Division titles back into play.
The build to their next PPV needs to be much better than they did with Bound for Glory, and most importantly, for the love of god stay the f*** away from worked shoots.

I feel they need to do more with the Desi Hit Squad, first they are introduced as generic heel foreigners and months later they break up. Gamma has been a better meme character than a mouthpiece and Rohit deserves better.
