f*** cancer. No one should go through that.
I can give or take Roman Reigns the character. But Joe Anoa'i the man can fight this.
Time to kick out at 2. Time for the big comeback. Kick cancer's ass!

That would explain why he hasn't looked too flash for most of the year.

Wow, that is unexpected. The best thing is that he'll have access to the best doctors in the world as well as being in such phenomenal shape will help. I have no doubts that he'll kick out and spear cancer.
Now if the WWE screws the pooch on his return, I'll have forever lost faith in them being able to book anything worth a damn again.

This is really weird. It’s almost like something they would make up to get sympathy cheers. But truth is stranger than fiction. I wanted to see him leave and not come back because he was insufferable, but not like this. So I feel pretty conflicted. I hope he can live a long and healthy life, but I can’t say I’ll be looking forward to his return. This is all very surreal. Im not conflicted at all. I want him to continue to be able to live the life he built for himself.

Don't think anyone could have imagined amid all the comments about how off he's seemed all year that it would be something this drastic and terrible. Just horrible news.

I feel like an ass for ragging on him so much this year for how lethargic and tired he's looked.
No shit he's tired! It must have taken incredible strength to do what he's done this last year in particular. I'm sure that strength will help him beat this.

Jesus, this is terrible. I didn't even know he had leukemia before. My thoughts are going to be with the guy and with his entire family.
What a terrible year this has been.

It was no secret he was looking sluggish but you figured it was just conditioning or life on the road taking its toll but it was more serious than expected and hope he comes back stronger than ever
It's a fight no top person in WWE has ever had to go through and it's a blow to the locker room but you see all the love he is getting and you know that's going to will him along as well as wife and children
Dude gave a great speech and when he comes back he will be a symbol for something bigger than himself

WWE STATEMENT ON ROMAN REIGNS by Mike Johnson @ 8:23 PM on 10/22/2018
WWE just issued the following:
ROMAN REIGNS FIGHTS AGAINST LEUKEMIA
STAMFORD, Conn., October 22, 2018 – Tonight on Monday Night Raw, Roman Reigns (aka Joe Anoa’i) announced that he is relinquishing the WWE Universal Championship and taking a leave of absence from WWE as he once again fights leukemia, which had been in remission since late 2008. Reigns is taking his battle with leukemia public in an effort to raise awareness and funds for research in order to advance cures for the disease.

The moment he explained what was going on the crowd immediately went by his side. It just goes to show that regardless of what the company wants to do with him and regardless of the boos, pushes, titles, accolades, what matters is Roman has a real connection with the crowd and we felt that. We feel it. He just spoke from his heart and let us understand and we all resonated with it. This is horrible and since he made that announcement I've been shaken up. Seeing Rollins and Ambrose react like they did, hearing the announcers, at the end of the day we're exposed to these wrestlers each week, each program and we build a connection with them. I don't know Roman but I feel like I know Joe a bit after hearing him speak about what's going on.
I can't wait for Roman to return and start punching dudes the f*** out.
We're all behind you Romey Rome. Recover soon and get back with us.

Best wishes to Roman and his family. Cancer is a terrible and terrifying thing to have, I have family with it and it's suffocating and hard to deal with in all regards.
Kick it's ass Roman.

As a cancer survivor living under the shadow that, because of the type of cancer I dealt with, it’s 50/50 it could come back as liver, bone, or lung cancer....
Motherf*** cancer y’all.
