Realistically, where could Impact go if Pop decides not to renew? Any cable channel owned by NBC or Fox is out of the question, for obvious reasons. I doubt Disney/ABC would be interested. Would Viacom take them back? Doubtful. Pop is owned by CBS, so that’s another big network out of the running. WarnerMedia most likely isn’t interested in getting back into wrestling, so TNT or TBS is probably a “no.” They already tried Discovery; what’s left? Any cable exec worth anything will take a look at the show’s history and wonder why it’s gone through numerous channels already. Also, didn’t Sony Six acquire the network that airs WWE programming in India? At this rate, I’m expecting this to be Impact’s new home: www.owlchannel.com

Man, shedding over half your audience in one week, even with it being a schedule change, that...that's not good.
Especially after their biggest PPV of the year that was generally well received. Oy.

The problem was at that PPV, the worked shoot/gross act of unprofessionalism by Aries after the main event made the top babyface and new champion look like a fool.
I'm not surprised viewers tuned out after that.

Sell to Vince, keep the show going as a Network exclusive, survive on WWE money, occasionally cross-promote with NXT.

This is totally to be expected and most likely will only get worse I skipped the show because it isn’t can’t miss and I’m not gonna watch a wrestling show till midnight that I don’t enjoy they have a lot of talent I like from a talent standpoint but as I and many others have said nobody’s likable and I find the tone of the show to be an inconsistent mess hyping a world title match this week after last week having Johnathan Impact in his 1st appearance since winning the title bitch about wwe not putting their world title on him because it’s fake but but Impact did because it’s fake takes me out of that world and makes matches meaningless to me the narrative of watch these guys pretend to fight and then find out who management decided to let win is the wrong way to get people to care about your product.I’m sure Impact & Fenix had a good match but the way they chose to promote it told me I shouldn’t care and defeats the entire purpose of having a pro wrestling company at this point they should get rid of the wrestling content completely and instead just do a documentary of Don,Scott,Jimmy and Sonjay in creative meetings and running the behind the scenes aspects.
I was hoping this time change and total lack of faith from pop tv would be the kick in the pants they need to realize what their doing isn’t working but from talking to my buddy who tried to watch the show but fell asleep due to sheer boredom halfway through he said it was the same impact as always for the most part just with less effort.

July 26th Episode: 299,000 viewers (post-Slammiversary episode) August 2nd Episode: 248,000 viewers August 9th Episode: 168,000 viewers August 16th Episode: 210,000 viewers August 23rd Episode: 212,000 viewers August 30th Episode: 225,000 viewers (ReDefined episode) September 6th Episode: 236,000 viewers September 13th Episode: 258,000 viewers September 20th Episode: 229,000 viewers September 27th Episode: 222,000 viewers October 4th Episode: 190,000 viewers October 11th Episode: 183,000 viewers October 18th Episode: 189,000 viewers (post-Bound For Glory episode) October 25th Episode: 98,000 viewers That was due to the Eddie Edwards accident, they never capitalized it on the momentum and after Redemption the Edwards/Callihan feud became a joke. And when they had Eddie Edwards in the main event challenging Austin Aries, the ratings started to tank.

Blame POP TV for still wanting Impact to be a PG show despite having a late evening timeslot. The major storyline in TNA this year. Do I have to start watching Impact now?

The major storyline in TNA this year. Do I have to start watching Impact now? With LOLTNA down, here's the skinny. I'll try to keep this brief......
The current storyline involving Eddie Edwards has been going on since March 1st. After Sami Callihan hit Eddie in the face with a non gimmicked baseball bat, the two had a feud in which Eddie became obsessed with revenge. Eddie starts wearing jeans and a T - Shirt in his matches, and starts behaving "unhinged".
After a hardcore match at Redemption between oVe (Sami Callihan and two bums) vs Dreamer, Moose and Edwards ended with Sami pinning Dreamer with a roll up, Eddie then busted open Sami with a barbed wire baseball bat, duct taped him to the ropes then went to town on him with a Kendo stick. After knocking him out, he hit the two oVe bums and a ref with the stick, pushed Dreamer away and as he was about to beat on Sami further, Alisha Edwards came out to stop him, and Eddie accidentally knocked her out with the stick.
Eddie then went into the hospital where Sami and Alisha were getting treated, and attacked Sami in his hospital bed. He then challenges Sami to a fight in a forest filled with floodlights. In the forest, Eddie chokes out both of the oVe bums, and after fighting Sami in the woods (that's where the GIF comes from), he's about to kill Sami when Tommy Dreamer turns up and stops him.
The next week, Eddie then comes out to the ring and hits Grado with the kendo stick, then calls out Tommy Dreamer after telling the audience he was about to kill Sami. He then berates Tommy for not letting him commit murder, because killing Sami was something he needed. After telling Tommy that he hasn't spoken to his wife in a week, Dreamer says he knows. Eddie then accuses Dreamer of having an affair with Alisha, and after Eddie almost breaks down in the ring, he knocks out Dreamer with the Kendo stick.
The two have a match at Slammiversary, and after Eddie wins, Dreamer hands him the Kendo stick. He then goes on to feud with Aries over the Impact World Championship.
So basically, Impact took a guy that almost lost an eye due to an in-ring accident, who was a babyface before, and turned him into a psychopath that has lamented that he didn't get to legit kill someone, and he's still a face.
There is no question that this angle (and it's still ongoing in my book, as Edwards is still crazy and still estranged from his wife) should be one of the candidates for the Gooker this year.

I still think they shouldve turned Eddie full heel and Alisha as well, they dropped the ball big time on that one.

I genuinely feel bad for them because people have been enjoying their shows for a while now. Callis and D’Amore have tried everything to wash that old Dixie stink off the product, but once it’s there, it’s there, and whether things are turning around for the better or not, a lot of people aren’t willing to give third, fourth or fifth chances.
Plus they’ve just been moved to a really crappy time slot. I thought over here in the UK watching RAW and SmackDown at 1am was rough, but not a lot of people are gonna want to watch wrestling at 10pm until midnight.

There's no "might get dropped" about this situation; Pop is washing their hands of the product and is trying to move them out of the way before they cancel it so it doesn't leave too big a void in their programming. Losing almost half of their viewers in the time slot change isn't just "finding the show a new time", it's the result of a declaration of intent to be done with them. I'm wondering what they did to make Pop this stormy and bitter because they shoved them into pure death as a slot, almost like they can't wait to be done with them.

At the end of the day it’s a rasslin show that while may give them viewers, nobody wants to advertise on them, it’s the same that happen to them in Destination America.
