From the bit I saw (I couldn't finish it), they're trying for Lucha Underground (which I also can't finish) but ended up closer to Broken Universe only played completely humourlessly and without self awareness. They're Lucha Underground with 99% less budget. I've said before, it's pathetic that TNA will never find it's own identity. Early on they were a late WCW clone with Russo and the other wcw rejects. Later they became third rate WWE with all the guys who either left or were fired there. Then faux ECW with fat Dreamer bleeding and crying. Now it's LU. Next year it's backyard wrestling until they can't downgrade anymore. That 05/06 run when they were basically a super indy was the only time they stood out as different in a good way. When TNA chants made WWE TV. Then they hired Russo again and Dixie got involved.

98,000 people?!
Oh.......viewers, not arena attendance.
Why did I even think that for a microsecond.

Then when the money mark tells you that the company is failing, you convince the money mark to become a character on the show. Russo stole tens of millions away from Dixie.

I just saw the video of Eddie fighting Callihan in the woods. It’s the most pathetic thing I have ever seen in my life. From the bit I saw (I couldn't finish it), they're trying for Lucha Underground (which I also can't finish) but ended up closer to Broken Universe only played completely humourlessly and without self awareness. There was actually a thread on it titled Impact Wrestling presents: When Lucha Underground Goes Wrong

Them copying another company really has always been their failing point like someone pointed out they have no identity of their own instead they are always lookin to become the budget version of another company.
WWE fans do not wanna watch WWE lite ECW fans sure as f*** do not wanna see a watered version of ECW LU fans do not care for the dollar budget of their show
And it works out worse with the LU relationship as you watch those wrestlers the night before in just an overall better show by comparison in every way.
IMO if they wanna tighten this LU relationship and the steer the so called ship in that direction....when they leave POP let El Rey air it and let the LU creative team find a way to canonize it to their universe

While Lucha Underground lite is pathetic, the Gaburick era was just a dollar store version of the WWE.

...the Gaburick era was just a dollar store version of the WWE. The hell it was. TNA wishes it could afford to be Dollar Store WWE with World Champ Alex Riley as Dollar Store HHH. It was a Dime Store WWE. Possibly even Free Soup Kitchen WWE. But Soup Kitchen's help people so they probably shouldn't be associated with TNA. My mistake.
