I see one of three things happening and none of them involve Balor. 3. The one to eventually slay Lesnar for real is Aleister Black. I'm leaning that last one for the record. I Cant see that ever happening. Black doesn t have the look. Don t think he Will do much of anything when he makes the Main roster. More Tyler breeze Than drew mcintyre

Balor is soo much too small to best brock. It would look totally absurd. Id Rather Braun best brock. Eddie looked small too. But his charisma made it work. Finn can do this. Book the feud exactly like the Eddie one. Finn takes advantage of neanderthal Lesnar and outsmarts him by cheating to win. Than balor would have to turn heel. A heel beating brock wouldnt be much of a fun moment

I think that given the majority of people want it, Vince will never do it. Hell at this rate it'll probably be Lesnar jobbing to Shane.

Heyman hinted at it last year, but WWE (Vince) or Brock (or both) didn't really want to do the match.

Redemption story for Finn. Wins back Universal title. Main events WrestleMania. New Star is Born. Finn is back to 2016 levels. ugh this would be amazing. and for those saying that it wouldn't work due to size...we can believe a dude has zombie magic powers, another can control fire, but "he's smaller!" is where we stop suspending our disbelief? *shrugs

Unless Balor game grow a foot-and-a-half and gain 30lbs, it's never happening.

IF it hasn’t set in by now that they have no plans for Finn in the main event...

I don't even see Finn winning the ATGMBR at this point.

I’d like to see Brock’s reaction to the Demon entrance.

I’m kinda all set with Finn. I mean he’s fine and all but the WWE gave him that monster push to the title which he lost due to no fault of his own only to spend the next couple years as a mid card afterthought.

I think the fatigue many of us feel towards Roman has rubbed off on Seth and Dean at this point. They can fight forever, but consideration of the title would again fall by the wayside. WWE needs someone who can build that title up, sell out house shows and PPVs and merch, who can be a regular and frequent presence on TV and yet stay that stable, comforting, workrate-heavy figure who is seen (even if only on faith) as capable of beating just about anyone. He'd be someone who can command without asking the loyalty and goodwill of the babyface locker-room, even as he stands alone at the top of the mountain. WWE could have flipped the booking around Summerslam 2016 and gave Seth that Universal title, but didn't.
If Balor wasn't injured during that match, I suspect the idea was to have him hold it for a while at least, and to ride that wave until they could credibly turn him heel or have him drop it to Seth who would then drop it to Roman. They obviously didn't plan on the response he'd get coming back from the injury, and perhaps realized then that turning him heel ever was going to be a huge mistake. Since then, they've not only kept him away from the Universal title, but indeed from even the Intercontinental title and took away from him the feud with Bray Wyatt which was, admittedly, beginning to flag but for reasons utterly outside his control.
If memory serves, this may be the last year of his current contract with WWE and, I suspect now, he's eyeing the door. I think they can book Balor to be resilient enough, cagey enough and tenacious enough to hold his own against Brock and, with a quick roll-up or out-of-nowhere submission hold, possibly beat Lesnar for the title. However, I'm not going to hold my breath waiting for it - if WWE was more than willing to put on that shitshow in Riyadh, what can we possibly hope for from a company who has so blatantly abandoned its focus on its product?

It's pretty clear they lost interest in Finn as a top guy almost two years ago. True. But this was then they had Roman vision. Now that Roman is no longer there they have to open their eyes and see their roster. Someone had to push for him to with the title in 2016. Someone please find that writer agaib. Bryan winning the WWE title and Balor the Universal title and the both hug recreating Benoit and Eddie moment would be truly a new era. They absolutely could, it just feels like they went 'welp, we tried that, moving on..' once he got hurt. That's not his fault; but they've done nothing since to make it seem like they view him any different than say Dolph.

I'd put more stock in him going BACK to Japan for more Bullet Club honestly.

Nope. I love Finn but it aint happening.
He needs a total makeover in terms of character. Smiling, happy dork with terrible beard ain't cutting it.
The man can be a total badass when called upon. Stop making faces so godawfully vanilla.

I'd put more stock in him going BACK to Japan for more Bullet Club honestly. Believe me, Prince Devitt returning to NJPW and the Bullet Club would be utterly kickass, but Balor is close to 40 and has been wrestling for nearly 20 years. I wouldn't be shocked if he, like Gallows and Anderson, wants to just make steady money for as long as possible before calling it a career.

That's fair too, I was more thinking NJPW would offer that sort of contract; but that's fair. Either way, I don't see him main eventing in WWE again.

I'd love to have Devitt back in New Japan. Imagine the pop in, say, Sumo Hall for a surprise return and 'REALROCKNROLLA!' hitting.

If he doesn't win the title just give us one match of Demon vs. Beast.
Is that too much to ask for?

I can't buy Finn as a threat to Brock.
He'd have to go all out Demon, and maybe play a Devil's advocate, trying to bring out Brock's demons.
