RIP Raycom/Jefferson Pilot Sports. The end of an era for sure I’m going to miss Raycom a lot. Not really looking forward to the ACC ESPN Network after all the insufferable Zion Williamson 24/7 coverage this season. Anyway, I have a lot of great memories from Raycom/Jefferson Pilot Sports over the years and I will truly miss their coverage of the ACC.

Watching Bill Self's expressions when Iowa State was thumpin' Kansas yesterday... that's a dude that wants to be somewhere else in my opinion.

Six autos left to go, then everyone holds their breath.
And for the love of everything, Wisconsin better not get anything higher than a 10.

Amusingly Wisconsin is a 4 on bracketmatrix.com. I dunno where I'd rank them really. Usually a solid tourney team, can't really see the Badgers being upset early, but does anyone care? I think they'll put Wisc. in the Virginia bracket as the 4/5 type team and set that up for the Sweet 16, because these committee members are sick individuals. These people thought having Virginia and Cincy as the 1/2 in the same region was a good idea last year. The other 4s on the site are Purdue, Kansas, and K-State. Any of them sound like decent 1st round upset picks, haha. Maybe not Purdue. Take a look at those 12s on there though. Good lord. Murray St., New Mexico St. (30 game winner from the WAC), and St. Mary's (upset Gonzaga). Those are scary 12s.

The overall #1 is Duke in the East. They will face either NC Central or North Dakota State.

The South #1 is Virginia. They will try to avoid last year's disaster when they face Gardner-Webb.

It'll be hilarious if Gardner-Webb takes out Virginia.

Gardner-Webb took out UK some years ago, haha.
God these committee people are twisted, sick bastards. Did anyone not think they'd put U of L against Richard Pitino in the first round? I don't even get how it's legit for Minnesota and MSU to even play each other in the 2nd round, but it's possible. For those arguing MSU should have been a 1 seed, you do realize they lost twice to Indiana this year and also to U of L? That's my litmus test: If you lose to U of L in Chris Mack's first year here, you are not for real.
I was right about Wisconsin being a 4/5 team in the Virginia region. Kansas St. is the 4 in it as well. Are they intentionally trying to set up games that are unwatchable? Wisc/K-St. is already an eyesore but the winner would get UVA, haha.

It'll be hilarious if Gardner-Webb takes out Virginia. UMBC has shown it an be done, and Virginia isn't exactly the best top team out there this season. And it being Gardner-Webb's first tourney is certainly motivation for them.

And the final #1 will be West-bound Gonzaga as they face either Fairleigh Dickinson or Prairie View A&M.

And it being Gardner-Webb's first tourney is certainly motivation for them. Virginia has a history of getting beaten by small fry. Before UMBC, they were known for losing to Chaminade.

I'm rooting for Indiana to not make the Not Invited Tournament.
Yes, they have some key wins, but I don't want them to be in any postseason tournament.

If there is one team who won't be upset in round 1, I'd bet the house on Virginia. They've had to stew on that historic upset for a year, this 1st round match-up will be like their own National Title game.

Dammit, Indiana is a #1 in the Not Invited Tournament. Well yeah, if you're one of the committees first four out, you're a one seed in the NIT, that's how it's been for a few years now. Also, and this is my own morbid curiosity getting the better of me, how many of ya'll actually watch teams from outside your conference, because based on some of the statements in here, seems like the college basketball crowd on this board is pretty casual about it. That's fine if you all and I'm not calling anyone out, I'm just curious is all.

I try and keep up with most of the major conference teams but it's hard to watch a whole lot of the mid majors. Final 4 picks sure to be awful: Duke, Michigan, Villanova, and UNC. The Nova pick is iffy admittedly but I just saw no one in that region that I liked. Virginia will tank against someone, Tennessee never does anything, Purdue never does anything, and I'm not remotely picking K-St. or Wisconsin that far. That left Villanova. A part of me thinks Tennessee might lose to Cincy in Columbus, though I didn't quite pick it.
My only real upset picks are Murray St. over Marquette (hey I have been saying for a while here I was picking Murray in a 5/12) and NM State over Auburn. Auburn was absurdly hot this week but I can't see that formula being sustainable in the real tourney. Who on earth shoots more 3s than 2s? It's like too many teams think they're Golden St. or something and take absurd, terrible shots thinking somehow it'll go in.
