Lol, this thread. Booker throws garbage on the ground like a punk, and (ironically enough) Punk is the guy everyone's up in arms about cause he's got an ego, or whatever. Punk is the real Mr Perfect his haters need to accept facts.

Because Punk was being arrogant calling himself "locker room leader" and trying to boss people around. Being a leader is something you earn, it's not something that you appoint yourself. Booker was just basically calling him out on it.

I listened to this earlier. Punk seems like such a f***ing clown in retrospect. They all are. Taker was the "Judge" in "Wrestler's Court" and it was taken relatively seriously by others behind the scenes. Just think about that. The Judge of Wrestler's Court???

I love that Kane is like such a friendly uncle to everyone in WWE that he always pops up in these sort of stories randomly like "f*** yeah gotta love Kane"

Not immediately dismissing this as untrue, but Jericho has to be taken with a pinch of salt nowadays. Can see this being mildly exaggerated knowing that Punk doesn't care enough to defend his side of this. Cody Rhodes backed it up and immediately began to laugh when Jericho brought it up and knew exactly where he was going with it.

Doesn't there have to be an element of being generally well-liked, or at least respected, to be a locker room leader? The more time goes by, the more delusional Punk seems. This is why his UFC career is so amazing to me. He deluded himself into thinking that "antisocial douche" and "tough guy" were the same things. I think that in the wrestling world, he got away with a lot because of who he was but didn't realize it and assumed it was because he was a badass with cool tattoos. I remember in his infamous Colt Cabana interview him saying something like, "if anyone ever said something to me in real life, I would just punch them in the throat...." The second that I heard that, I thought, "What if they punch back, tough guy?" In UFC, I got my answer.

Good to know, I'll keep that in mind...

Punk declared himself a locker room leader like a delusional ass, and Booker responded by throwing trash on the ground like an immature child. The only people I see being spoken of well in this thread are Kane and Reigns.

please Booker said "I don't need your leadership declaration. I'm an adult! you can't get me to clean up, Pepsi-tattoo man!"

I’ve always liked Punk the performer, but believed if we were to meet socially we would not get on. I think he’s a complex personality.
That said, nah I’m with him here. Timeline-wise he would have been a multiple time heavyweight champion and main eventer when this happened, guys like him should be and would be perceived as locker room leaders. You should be setting an example in respect, and if he wants to throw his weight around to make sure guys aren’t leaving the place a tip...fine.

Guys in wrestling with egos are a dime a dozen. I'm not defending Punk, but it's crazy to me how much of a circlejerk pile up this has become based on what actually happened in the story. One guy threw his weight around ordering guys to pick up trash, and in response a grown-ass man more threw stuff on the ground. If the latter point isn't the most absurd thing you take away from that story, you're priorities are out of order.

Even if Punk had a point, I can not see a guy like Booker T respecting his self appointed leadership. Imagine if one of your coworkers, who has not been there as long as you have, came in one day and randomly declared himself your supervisor and started laying down the law to you.

Cody Rhodes backed it up and immediately began to laugh when Jericho brought it up and knew exactly where he was going with it. I can definitely believe it. Punk's sanctimoniousness and self-righteousness are well documented, I just dont trust anything Jericho himself says nowadays and it's interesting that now he's out of the limelight, Jericho is dumping on Punk.

In a former job years ago, one co-worker got promoted to a mid-level manager at some point. This dude was minimum 7 years younger than me. At one point dude was telling me to do something and I told him whatever it was was a waste of time. He got angry and straight up called me 'young man!'
I burst out laughing at him.

The next thing Jericho books should be a motel room where he and Punk can work out their sexual tension.
