Oooh, Dick Tracy and (the original) Adventures in Babysitting will be on there? That’s pushing me closer and closer to at least trying it out. I’m hoping they’ll offer gift subscriptions; that would make a nice Christmas present.
I was wondering what they would do with films from Touchstone Pictures, since Disney said that its streaming service would be family-friendly and those have a bit of a harder edge to them. I’m glad that they’ll be included.
EDIT: Looking over the list again, they have several of the Muppet movies but not The Great Muppet Caper or The Muppets Take Manhattan? That’s ... weird.
EDIT 2: Crap, their remake of Angels in the Outfield isn’t on the list. It would have meant a lot to me to be able to watch it again, because when it was released I watched it with almost 60,000 people under the lights at Three Rivers Stadium.
Yes, I said 60,000.

Avengers: United We Stand is on this. They get none of my money*. *Not entirely true. But on the other hand, EMH IS there! And let's have a look here... Yes, TDA's representation is pretty complete. No Shnookums and Meat, but they don't count. Muppet Babies? YYYAAAAAA....oh, it's the Disney Channel version. What's The Book of Once Upon a Time? It makes me think...ABC's OUAT would fit in on D+. A bit edgier but not too much... No sighting of theatrical shorts...yet. Neither Black Hole nor Watcher in the Woods?! Dumbo is missing that big honking asterisk by it. The Muppet Movie is the only classic Muppets film...hmmmm...I assume other studios have the rights to them.

No Aladdin, Pepper Ann or Proud Family. The latter is weird considering they announced a movie for it. Any rights issues that we know of?
I'm assuming no original Muppet Babies due to media rights.

EDIT: Looking over the list again, they have several of the Muppet movies but not The Great Muppet Caper or The Muppets Take Manhattan? That’s ... weird. Not sure why no Great Muppet Caper, but Muppets Take Manhattan, Muppets from Space and Kermit’s Swamp Years aren’t on because Sony owns the home video distribution rights to them. It’s why Take Manhattan and From Space have $5 barebones blu ray releases instead of the remastered releases the rest of the movies got.

Will this require an upgraded Apple TV like WWE Network?

MUPPET BABIES?!? Clarify... original or new?!? That’s the good. No anthology, no Mickey Mouse Club, no Zorro. That’s a let down. Same with no Ewok movies, Droids or Ewok cartoons. Among the movies, no Beaches? I thought that was a Touchstone movie and Disney had the rights. Now, having said that, I’m not complaining too hard. This is a VERY strong launch line up with more to come. November 12 cannot get here fast enough!

MUPPET BABIES?!? Clarify... original or new?!? New. There's still a rights issue on a lot of the footage when it comes to the old.

Honestly, it seems like a logical idea to keep stuff like that back for future updates. There's already a lot on there. Like, Mickey's Mouseworks nor the House of Mouse are on there. They're essentially the same show and they're not massive ommissions, sure, but if there's any way you can have them come in later in its first year, you do it. Also, The Weekenders isn't there yet. Again, not massive but you trickle that stuff out if you have it.

But...I didn't see it then at first even realizing that.

I just noticed The Absent-Minded Professor was on there, then I realized it's probably the original theatrical version and not the 80's remake with Harry Anderson.

I'd even love to see some of the Disney Channel originals from the 80s, like Welcome to Pooh Corner and Dumbo's Circus. Hopefully some of that and other things you mentioned are coming. Would Mickey Mouse Club have music rights, or have to clear certain celebrities' appearances (or the ones from before they were stars)? Beaches may be borderline for adults. But it's not R-rated. Going back to the Muppets deal, yeah it was Sony that had the other movies. Now I am wondering...X-Men Evolution was distributed by Warner Bros. Yet that hurdle was easy to overcome. I think the H-B Fantastic Four is still more difficult, though, yes?

I think the H-B Fantastic Four is still more difficult, though, yes? Fun fact; still shown on Latin American Cartoon Network. So probably?

Looks like a lot of the early 80s live-action Disney films are missing (ie, Condorman, Tex, Trenchcoat).

This will only work if Jefferson Starship returns and plays a bigger role.

I was REALLY hoping for the Disneyland TV series, the Mouse Factory, and/or some of the older TV specials that used to air on Vault Disney, but fingers crossed for the future.
