So Becky did her whole iconic posing and badassery WHILE CONCUSSED AND WITH A BROKEN FACE. The Man deserves Brock level pay. And gave Ronda multiple chair shots. Safely. Huh.

WWE booking while backed into their panic corner is always so fascinating. They’ve just booked the match that was long rumoured to be the possible first women’s WrestleMania main event and arguably the whole endgame of Rousey’s first championship arc, on 24 hours notice for Survivor Series, only five days before it. The last time this happened, they hotshotted both Kurt Angle's in-return and the elite dream match of Balor vs. Styles, and even went to the trouble of flying Triple H and AJ Styles across the Western Hemisphere to do so.

For anyone who currently doesn't know the extent of Nia Jax's carelessness in the ring over the past two years or so, here's a full list with clips and articles compiled by a Reddit User: www.reddit.com/r/SquaredCircle/comments/9wum1i/a_history_of_unsafe_practices_by_nia_jax/?sort=confidenceIn short, she has been involved with the following reckless spots and injuries of superstars: Charlotte: Not Seriously Injured but the spots were bad Asuka: Not Seriously Injured but the spots were bad Bayley: Messed up her shoulder, Bayley missed Summerslam Alexa Bliss: Earlier this year causing her to miss time (And she tweeted about how Alexa was faking it and people calling her out were trolls, Alexa apparently didn't take this very well) Zelina Vega: Concussion from Jax, Bloody Nose from Tamina, they really are a match Becky Lynch: Errant Punch to the Face, Severe Concussion and "Broken Face", out indefinitely, misses Survivor Series This isn't a one off thing or accidents happen anymore this is a serious detriment to the WWE, and her lineage shouldn't factor in to this, she is literally injuring people, putting their careers at stake and putting WWE's own booking and writing into more dire straights as it is because she can't properly work. Send her back to developmental for her sake and all the other womens sakes, this isn't a good look for your company, nor does it help your whole "Evolution" message when a clunky giant is going around constantly hurting people And while we're at it, please move Tamina to a backstage role or cut her, she's beyond done and I don't think she ever friggen got started. She's a detriment to the division as well, but unlike Jax who might improve with more training, Tamina's had a decade, I think she's peaked and the peak's about an inch off the ground before she falls off of it and faceplants for her "Finisher" There are a ton of safer, more talented females in the wings and on the current roster, actually give the shine to them, since they've proven they can work. And give Nia more time, because frankly, she needs it, and the division doesn't inherently need her right now. Especially doing this shit.

Damn, Meltzer said this on WOR It's really happening Keep Becky safe and in good health until then please. This could be a legend making match for her even in defeat and it also gives Rousey more time to hopefully develop as a performer.

I don't believe it was an intentional stiff punch, and there definitely didn't seem to be anything stiff from Becky that would've caused a receipt.
Conspiracy theories aside, I think it was just a careless (Triple-H.gif) punch that she screwed up by connecting full force. Maybe getting carried away emotionally or something, don't know, but major league mistake and one they can't just brush aside.

WWE probably only arranged this because of the changed Mania plans. I dont buy them not clearing a tough pro wrestler because of some minor facial damage. Clearly Becky doesnt care, Ronda won´t care, so whats the problem? if its a concussion come out and say that! But not a stupid " Broken face" diagnosis...wtf does that even mean.
Just be honest you wanted to delay this for Mania and everyone is fine with it, just dont lie. If she got a concussion then she shouldnt wrestle, but I dont think she got one.

I mean, they seem fairly confident that she'll be right to go sooner rather than later if she's not vacating the belt... But that unwritten rule about the belts having to be defended within a certain timeframe has been blown up in recent years with the whole Lesnar run so who the hell knows.

I thought they tried to explain that away saying that the champ has to be ABLE to defend the title within 30 days and not nessisarily that they HAVE to. I could be wrong but I remember them trying to find that loophole kayfabe wise.

I've been concussed before. Sometimes your body goes on cruise control and takes over. I honestly dont remember what happened after I got whacked with a hook but people have told me I finished the round on my feet. So you never know My friend Bob used to box... he stopped because in his last fight he saw the opponent come towards him... and then his hand being raised at the end. he ot a concussion in one of the first blows was out on his feet but continued to stay standing and fighting for the 3 rounds. Its partially why I quit too. I remember boxing then waking up at home. I dont remember anything prior to that

They did come out and say it. They said she had a broken face and a severe concussion. It's possible they're playing up how severe but they probably haven't taken the belt off her yet because they're waiting to get some tests back likely. If she'll be good to go in a month or so, she'll likely keep the belt. I mean, they seem fairly confident that she'll be right to go sooner rather than later if she's not vacating the belt... Maybe she has several fractures of her facial bones, not just the nose, and that's why they're saying broken face. Just a thought. Getting hit in the face can f*** you up; years ago an AFL footballer copped an accidental hit, and his face basically exploded inside his skin. It was gruesome. (Obviously Becky is not as bad; but one hit can do more damage than you'd think.)

There's absolutely no way that wasn't meant from Jax. She drops her and just goes back to fighting the other women, she would've known right away she done it and checked on her if it was an accident. Hey now!! Accidents happen, right? I mean, at least that is what all the wrestlers who rushed to defend Brie Bella said after she knocked out that Sarah Logan (I think). I'm curious to see if Nia Jax will get as many people rushing to defend her like they did with Brie.

WWE probably only arranged this because of the changed Mania plans. I dont buy them not clearing a tough pro wrestler because of some minor facial damage. You're talking about a woman who already retired once before due to severe brain trauma after getting hit in the head. Whether you believe it's 'minor' or not, it's still much higher risk than the average performer. You do not know they don't care. Matter of fact, even if they don't care, WWE health officials aren't going to randomly deny a match simply to push it to WrestleMania. It hasn't stopped them from pulling the trigger on a setup and then running it once more even 24 hours later, the RUMOR of this getting moved to their biggest show should be taken with a colossal grain of salt. Becky Lynch sustained a broken face and severe concussion. Not sure you can be any more direct than that. It's a general term describing any broken bones in (you guessed it) the face. This includes your nose, cheekbones, jaw, orbital bones, whatever. If it's a nondescript injury, it gets terms like that. I'll just reiterate this one last time: her retirement-threatening injury years ago affected a part of her brain that controls hearing and balance. Concussions are exponentially easier to get after the first one, and needless to say she's suffered quite a few in her career (as have others in the profession). They have no reason to lie about her injury, just like Vince has no reason to withhold a money match from a card simply because there's a bigger stage plan in the future. NJPW may do that, but the WWE will always capitalize it while the iron is hot.
