The last time Becky had a concussion, as far as I know, she didn't wrestle for 6 years due to the damage. If I’m correct, the retirement was more down to the mental struggle she had after recovering from that 2006 injury as opposed to the injury itself (it would have been within two years at the most, because she was tentatively taking limited bookings in 2008, but she still wasn’t in the right headspace and no-showed them), which is how she ended up trying out all the different career paths before going back to wrestling.

Watch WWE use this to turn Becky into a cowardly heel ducking Rhonda Rousey. That's actually good story telling I mean she is a heel so give her heat for it

I hate those dumb brand vs. brand brawls from a storyline perspective. But I'm actually surprised more people don't get injured in them. There's just a lot of uncoordinated flailing around happening. It sucks because she was obviously the hottest thing going in the company right now.

Goddamn, this sucks. Hopefully, Becky is okay and nobody gets in trouble because a) this is a contact sport and b) accidents happen.
Of course I now wanna see Becky use the Undertaker's old mask from late '95.

Injuries are a bitch in WWE right now though. With her concussion history they are going to take it real slow with her and more than likely just have her cut promos for the rest of the year (assuming she doesn't have long post concussion syndrome with sensitivity to light and all that)

I haven't seen anything from Nia's past to indicate she's particularly unsafe or reckless in a way warranting punishment for this. She also seems to be well liked in the WWE so I don't really expect her to catch any real heat over it. Being related to the Rock doesn't hurt either but even if she wasn't, I doubt it would matter. Women in the WWE seem to get injured fairly often from strikes to the face and head. There may need to be some sort of adjustment made in training or for them to work their blows differently. Vince: PILLOW FIGHTS IT IS, PAL!

The last time Becky had a concussion, as far as I know, she didn't wrestle for 6 years due to the damage. That's correct. She suffered a cranial injury in 2006 and didn't return to wrestling until she signed a developmental deal in 2013.

It's scary these days when you think about it. I mean look at Ambrose and Rollins for example. Look at Strowman. A lot of top guys these days don't even really have matches on every Raw anymore, it's every once in a while. About 2 years ago they were having matches each and every single night. I remember during the Lil Buddy Ambrose era they were random Raws where he didn't wrestle and was just hanging with Reigns talking to him about his feuds and stuff backstage, it seemed out of place that he wasn't wrestling. Now though it's like you don't notice it until it's drawn attention to. It's happened so many times they've had to readjust but at the same time injuries still happen.

So is Nia like the Forrest Gump of injuries, always just happening to be around, or do they need to seriously consider sending her back to the PC for awhile?

Your out in-story is Becky slipped on a piece of avocado toast and got overly sensitive about it. "Stone Cold Becky Lynch took her toast and went home."

They should treat this like how they used Stone Cold after the broken neck at Summerslam. Have her cut fire promos about how the company won’t let her compete even though she’s “fine” and still have her be a badass. Take the title off of her and let her be the tweener that she already is.

Damn.
Thanks to Becky's work (Ronda has been good too, but she's not at The Man's level) this matchup kind of has the feel of something from the glory days; it feels like a big deal, even with the short build.
Health comes first, of course, but man.. I just hope this doesn't kill her momentum. Becky is one of the few acts going who can overcome the E's booking ineptitude to a degree, but they're REALLLLLLY inept so it's difficult not to be cynical.
And if she can go, give her the goddamn W.

Well this just completely ruined my day. I guess it was too good to be true. What really worries me is the concussion as you just never know with those. Missing Survivor Series would be really disappointing and all but what I really worry about is her having to miss a lot of time.

Here's another angle - it was a potato. Depends on if the agents approved the spot or not.

This match has to happen, it's everything that has come together at the right time in the right way and it has happened organically. Back at Wrestlemania, the idea of Ronda vs. Becky would've been thought of as a quick squash match to get Ronda over, but today it's a woman's match that legit has people saying it should go on last. If anything, THIS match is the culmination of the Women's Revolution, if we're still calling it that. Yes, health comes first.. and I'm hoping this is another rumor similar to "Kevin Owens walks out in a suit, now Vince McMahon wants him to wrestle in the suit from now on" where it's untrue, plays on people's fears, and is ultimately nothing to worry about.
