Let's talk about things that make us smile.
What went right today?
For example....
Today I found my clipboard at work. It disappeared about a month ago and I couldn't find it anywhere. The clip is sort of bent up and one corner is chipped off but it is the same clipboard I have used since I started there five and a half years ago. It's got sentimental value. I found it under a desk in the warehouse. The inventory lead started to ask why I was taking it and I just hugged it and said, "Mine!" and walked away.

I just started my 9th year where I work and I get an extra week of vacation this year for it.

I just started my 9th year where I work and I get an extra week of vacation this year for it. Nice. I will hit 5 years at my job this coming July, where my yearly vacation allotment will go up to 3 weeks. |

I lost my job a while back, but the job made me miserable anyway, and a couple of former co-workers have become friends of mine since I left, which is GREAT because I don't make friends easily.
So something good has come from something bad. I no longer go to a job I hate, and I have new friends.

Got the results back from lab work. It turns out the pain I've had the past few weeks in my ankles and knees can be remedied with three ibuprofen in the morning, and three more at night.

At work we have something called a CAPA. A "Corrective And Preventive Action". It is a problem brought to the Quality dept that has to be fixed. From the time one gets assigned to you, you are required to correct it within 120 days (30 days to make a plan and 90 days to implement it). In March I inherited a CAPA when my supervisor quit. It was due in June. I've been fighting to get mine finished for the last eight months.
Today I got final approval on my CAPA. It has officially been closed. Woot!
