I want to watch it but I’m scared it’s a train wreck. How did this rinky dink movie got Lena Heady? It’s not exactly “rinky dink”. It’s got MGM and Film 4 Studios backing it, it’s produced by The Rock and it’s written and directed by a successful comedian.

I like Nick Frost and Lena Headey so I'm looking forward to them playing Paige's parents. Vince Vaughn as a WWE coach though? I don't know about that. Considering the timeline, would Vaughn be playing Bill DeMott?

It looks decent. I’ll give it a look. Probably not in theaters but I’ll definitely get around to it.

You know the ones that go straight to vhs on Walmart. The wwe films is the type of movies Ed Wood would be filming if he was still alive.

I thought Vince Vaughn was going to be Jake the Snake?
Looks pretty craptacular either way.

The Chaperone didnt exactly caught the public’s imagination. No it didn’t but that didn’t have a full cinema release, like a lot of their films around that time. Full releases like Oculus and The Call both made a decent amount of money.

My favourite part was seeing UK indie wrestler Rishi Ghosh at the tryout scene IN HIS REAL LIFE WRESTLING GEAR. Dave Mastiff there too. Pete Not-Quite-Dunne caught my eye in that scene.

i'll probably check it out on Netflix or something, but i'm not going to spend money to see a WWE whitewashing of her life story. its the little things that are bugging me, because they're unnecessary but WWE does it anyway because there is no wrestling outside of WWE, just them and only them. like while yes there is a possibility she could have done it, i have a hard time picturing Paige making a cardboard WWE Divas Championship and posing with it in the mirror, because when that belt was introduced she'd already been wrestling for two years. and i love how at the WWE training camp she went by the name Paige even though at that point she'd spent her entire career competing under the name Britani Knight, and her initial name in developmental was Saraya.
then there's the stuff they were either too stingy or lazy (or both) to do right, like having Vince Vaughn wear a shirt with the current WWE logo at the tryout instead of spending an extra two bucks for a shirt with the scratch logo which they used until 2014. it makes the whole thing look cheap.

Doesn't look bad will give it a chance, imagine that is most of The Rock's role in the trailer Florence Pugh, who is playing Paige, was great in the movie The Falling with Maisie Williams She was one of the few bright spots in Malevolent as well. Plus Jack Lowden, who plays Paige's brother, was in Dunkirk, and is incredibly sexy, so sign me up.

The production appears to be a step up from Paige's last movie I think I'm actually looking forward to seeing this. Maybe not "at the theater" good, but I'll totally catch it on Netflix/WWENetwork or whereever it ends up “Paige was in a movie befo.......OHHHHHHHH” me just then.

I'm wanting to be interested in it, but I'm really having a hard time getting past the fact that I couldn't possibly care less about Paige's story.
On top of that you have the weird mix of mostly actors playing wrestlers, but The Rock playing himself.
Definitely looks like the best bits will be Paige's family, especially Nick Frost.
Looks like probably a 48-51 on the Tomato-meter, at best.

I'm gonna go with saying the cardboard Divas Championship is silly because I worked for WAWW/Bellatrix so I know their actual title belts are usually lying in a gym bag somewhere in that house if she ever wanted to pose with a Women's Championship.
