Jericho wrote in one of his books that if someone brings a baby or small child backstage, Vince will without fail stop what he's doing and go spend time with the kid. He's just crazy for little kids (in the good way, obviously).
That would probably explain why he's always had such a strong relationship with Make-A-Wish as well.

I've always seen Vince as a very decent human being outside of business. Mick Foley once called Vince "a cross between satan and a hell of a guy". My guess is that Grandpa Vince is the latter part

I bet he's the type of grandpa that teaches the kids all the swear words.

I bet he's the type of grandpa that teaches the kids all the swear words. Vince would probably be the funniest grandpa, if that was the case. A WWE employee came to my job, last year, after Summerslam. She said the whole family is NOTHING at all, like they are portrayed on tv. Stephanie and H, and Shane and his wife, have very close relationships with their children, and she said Vince is (Lord, I don't wanna use this reference, but it *is* here), a big teddy bear, behind the scenes. Anyway, back on topic.. he's probably a hilarious grandpa

I imagine Vince is quite a nice guy in real life.
A lot of his workers seem threatened or intimidated by him. I imagine he’s the kinda guy who appreciates it when someone is more comfortable around him.
Hell if I was a wrestler, I’d be constantly annoying him with ideas. I like to think he would appreciate that kinda thing.

My dad is a Russian Orthodox priest, and spent almost two decades serving in parishes in suburban Connecticut, not too far from Stamford. Some of his parishioners are very close to the McMahon family, and apparently they are some of the nicest people you will ever meet in your entire life, so I have no doubt Vince is a fantastic grandfather.
He also used to try to encourage me to get a degree in journalism so he could put in a second or third hand word with Vince. Knowing what I know, I was like Absolutely not.

I think the main thing with Vince that people need to remember that Vince the businessman, Vince the onscreen persona and Vince the father/grandfather are all different people.
As much as he's driven me mad as a fan over the years, there are a hundred instances where he brought me pure joy. I've always said that if I could have an hour to sit and have a beer with anyone, it'd be him. It's easy to say "I'd love to ask him what the hell he was thinking" if ever given the chance to meet him, but for me, I'd be more inclined to thank him for all he's given to me entertainment wise, and then talk to him, person to person.

Lots of businessman can be assholes to work with but are levelheaded when having a drink. I think Vince is a dick when in business mode but probably is more normal when he is with his family and friends.

I've heard Prichard say his shit hurt and looked awful... but anything else I'm missing? Vince said the same thing. Everytime Vince wants a talent to stop working so snug, he gives an example about Bobo Brazil’s stuff looking like it hurts but he was actually very light and safe to work, whereas Bundy’s stuff looked like shit and everything he did hurt. Ernie Ladd also hated Bundy, he called him a thief that stole money from the fans with his performance. He duuummb himself right outta position!

I always remember a scene from Wrestling With Shadows, Bret is talking to Vince and has his young son with him. They show a moment where he is talking to and joking with the kid, telling him he is going to be bigger (larger) than his Dad someday and walk in and be all like "HEY DAD!" but in true Vince fashion, he is very animated and growly and kind of hilarious. It always just struck me that he didnt have to do that. He could have just been like "Hey pal..." and let that be that but he didnt. So that and other things I've heard make me think he is probably an awesome Grandpa.

Well if we go by the way he treats Steph, I figure he must be a "give everything to them and make sure everybody knows they are the best" type of grandpa. And that they get all the breaks without merits.

I'm sure Vince is a loving Grandparent but part of me hopes he's like Johnny Knoxville's Bad Grandpa Ironic Vince likes babies but doesn't like King Kong Bundy, who looks like a giant baby Vince is truly an enigma

He's just crazy for little kids (in the good way, obviously). That would probably explain why he's always had such a strong relationship with Make-A-Wish as well. Vince had by all accounts including his own a really shitty, traumatic, all-kinds-of-abusive childhood. It makes sense that he'd want to make sure other children DON'T have the shit he went through and would go out of his way to try brighten their day even a little. I'd love a beer and a steak wrap with Vince. A fascinating, complex man who I think is probably a much, much nicer man than he gets credit for, and probably smarter/shrewder even now. A creative might have 1,000 ideas a day, of which 5 are good, I honestly think his problem is he doesn't have the people to filter the bad ideas out for him because he's such a force of personality that he's too hard to work with and drives out those who will challenge him eg. Heyman. But overall, sure he's not on the cutting edge anymore, he's not as in touch as he was, but he's not this senile idiot people make him out to be either. I can't dislike Vince. I grew up on WCW sure, but without Vince, wrestling just would not exist at the level it exists at least in the Western world. I'm sure he's a terrific grandfather.

While helping Shane's sons potty train, Vince would be heard screaming at them, "He's gonna poop! He's gonna poop!"
