Through Vince's eyes, he had Braun take 5 F5s to look strong.
Now look at this through Vince's eyes.

The Styles/Lesnar match came out of nowhere and it was great. Yes, but it was heel Lesnar against face Styles, so it made sense. This is heel Lesnar against heel Bryan, who now has to battle the Goliath-like Brock Lesnar after a year-long "inspirational comeback" storyline and still remain a heel. This is what I'd do, and it's probably full of holes, but it makes sense to me: 1) Bryan and Lesnar are set to square off, the bell rings, and Bryan jumps out of the ring. He just walks away and Brock wins by countout. Shane comes out and is furious with Bryan, but Bryan just shrugs him off and says he's not risking an injury against Lesnar just so Shane can one-up his sister (echoing the sentiments of fans who don't see the point of the Raw vs. Smackdown feud). 2) AJ Styles comes out and says that if Bryan won't represent Smackdown, he'll be happy to, even though he's no longer champion. Brock at first refuses to "wrestle two matches in one night," but Styles goads him on until Brock agrees. We then get a Lesnar/Styles match, and as much as I'd love to have Styles beat Brock here, I'll keep things somewhat realistic and say that Brock gets himself disqualified by putting his hands on the referee. Brock goes ballistic and beats up a number of officials, maybe even getting himself arrested, but Styles is technically the winner. 3) AJ (who fought a tough match against Brock but avoided the worst parts of his freakout) tells Shane that these fans deserve better than a DQ finish. Shane says there's no way that Lesnar will be allowed out of custody, and Styles says he wasn't talking about Lesnar. He wants to invoke his contractual rematch against Bryan in a match with no countouts or disqualifications. Shane agrees and says that Bryan will come out right now and defend the title or he's in breach of contract and will be fired. Bryan agrees because Styles just took a beating from Lesnar so he should be easy to beat. We then get a competitive title match between the fighting Styles and the cowardly Bryan, which Bryan narrowly wins by cheating. We have in effect just seen a round robin challenge where every man went 1-1. Man I don't think it'll be anything that serious lol.
I think Bryan's just going to wrestle Lesnar like he's been planning to wrestle him for the past 4 years and then return to SDL as a heel again and that'll be it. Whatever happens during the Lesnar match won't matter on SDL lol. Bryan will probably say "I wrestled the match that way because I wanted to wrestle that way 4 years ago but now this is what I'm wanna do" and then cut his "you people" promo.

Bryan kicks AJ in the groin. Then Brock does the same, followed by Heyman. Show ends.

The Styles/Lesnar match came out of nowhere and it was great. Styles also let Lesnar rag doll him like an animal but he got Lesnar to work that night selling all his shit and making the calf crusher look like it was going to rip his leg off He won't be able to rag doll Bryan as much (or he shouldn't) but with Lesnar being skinnier the contrast in size shouldn't be as big. I'm interested to see how Bryan maps this out

Through Vince's eyes, he had Braun take 5 F5s to look strong. Now look at this through Vince's eyes. Man, that was disturbing. And those F5s looked like shit, thanks to Beastie Boy getting off the roids in order to fight DC next year.
Looking at this through Brock's eyes, no way is he putting a huge UFC buyrate at risk. So this match is going to be short and with Bryan doing all the work.

Brock squash Styles-related non-finish Bryan takes on a Backlund crazy persona & takes a ton of punishment before getting Brock in a submission that he won’t release. Bryan: I! FEEL! LIKE! GOOOOOOOOD!!

This might have been a dream match five years ago but this is suplex city era Brock who has to be dragged to a halfways decent singles match, who spends most of the multiman matches taking a nap outside and who is eyeing a return to UFC. I will be genuinely amazed if we get a good match here that doesn't make Bryan look like a chump. I sincerely hope this doesn't end Bryan's career thanks to another concussion but sadly that is a possibility.

There'll probably be a schmozz of some sort (AJ distracts Bryan?).

I'm honestly thinking that somewhere in the writers meeting, someone said "should we really do Styles/Lesnar again under these circumstances?" It's like they felt they didn't want to repeat last year without it actually meaning something. I feel like if they go do Lesnar/Styles again, it would have to mean more because of the history of the two in Japan, and the similarity in their Japanese careers.
That being said, Daniel Bryan's heel turn will be explained via two reasons (he finally starts listening to himself is the first), and the other is he can go to the place inside his mind necessary to beat Brock and AJ can't, because when it comes down to it, AJ has gone soft and fights with honor, and Bryan realizes that you just can't beat Brock with honor; Bryan figured out that in order to have a chance at beating Brock, you might actually have to be insane.
