When is NFL going to permanently lift its blackout policy?

They have suspended it on a year-to year basis since 2014.

If it is antiquated and needs to go, the NFL will be sure to keep it around for 5-10 more years. They are maybe the worst-run league in all of sports, just riding the wave of popularity from previous eras. The NHL changed policy mid-series with Sean Avery, changge takes much more time in the NFL and especially the MLB (but moreso out of purity and tradition than gross incompetence, but that could be argued.)
