This board used to be active and fun and wouldn't lose their mind over simple shit but just make fun of it once TNA just became shits and giggles
WWE board just has a lot of BS and negativity too much of the time and I miss the TNA board to counteract that
Seems to be trending back up with Don and his crew trying to get better but yeah at least the PPVs are becoming fun

I'm sure Dixie appreciated your complaint.

I'm sure Dixie appreciated your complaint. F*** Dixie lol
As I said before I want TNA to be stupid and outrageous but I want people to be happy and paid
They seem to be getting there

I think it's because most of us stopped watching. I just have no way anymore so I have very little to discuss here. Without Dixie going Full Dixie anymore the comedy isn't there either.
I wish more of these medium sized indie level companies (let's be real, TNA is that now) would go the MLW route and get their weekly shows up on YouTube.

Atleast TNA has a board
Being the primary LU guy I only got a seasonal thread lol
But seriously though I think it is because TNA is no longer so bad that it is hilarious but more good or really bad with no more in between.
I miss the days of a hell mouth opening up in the ring and everyone falling into it or Lethal and Flairs WOO off.

Because it’s no longer cool to make fun of them once they’re trying to improve. It’s like making fun of the fat guy when he’s at the gym trying to lose weight, unless the fat guy is Tommy Dreamer then it’s ok to mock him.
Dixie has been gone for years. James Storm bounced. They got smart and got rid of Alberto. Gunner is a distant memory. Gaburick is back carrying Kevin Dunn’s bags. Jeremy Borash asking for the loudest fans is in NXT.
There’s no longer any loltna bullshit lingering around other than Abyss and Josh Mathews but they’re not really featured anymore.
Sadly the only things that get any traffic are loltna threads because the company was reduced to a walking tragedy, now without it, they’re just your average indy.
When I joined FAN in 2014, they were just getting cancelled by Spike tv because they hired Russo on secret, we had a death thread about that mocking Dixie about hiding him, and some time later there was another thread about a spike tv executive going on the record about how much they hated Russo.
Then came the Destination America days. It was weird watching a rasslin show on a channel that had drunken rednecks hunting for Bigfoot. Dixie then appeared on the Austin podcast and said that moving to DA was better because they were offering them two shows, then the other show got cancelled. In DA we also had MVP saying the n word in a promo. Kurt Angle also wrestled wearing mom jeans in one of the most pathetic displays ever. Then there was also another deaththread about them getting cancelled and how Dixie accidentally sent an email to the DA executives calling them dummies.
Then the ongoing Pop TV Saga. When it was revealed that they’re basically sharing their ad sales with the channel. Andy Barton, a former tna executive, going to social media and admitting that they were out of money. Billy Corgan giving them money for an ownership stake and then them trying to f*** him so he had to sue them. Then the return of GFW and Jeff Jarrett. Then Ed Nordholm being exposed as a dumb money mark. And now currently Don Callis doing Lucha Budgetground.
There have been so many tna death threads that I now feel numb about the company, somehow they just exist.

There’s so little buzz for the product and it only seems like fans and the websites only talk about it after a ppv and even then it’s not a lot of talk and it dissipates quickly.I tapped out of this regime with the move to 10pm the show just wasn’t fun to me it seems like the people in charge are in over their heads and lack their own creative direction instead they are like “hey them kids like that flippy stuff, worked shoots and Lucha Underground we’ll just do that stuff”.

Because everything good is tainted by whataboutism, ghosts of their past and general irrelevant negativity which is a poor representation of the current product. Heck people are willing to latch onto assumptions there's literally zero proof of just to dog on Impact.

There's just not a whole lot to talk about until the next time Austin Aries goes off the script and stabs Fallah Bah with a fork.

What is impact wrestling anyway? What is their direction?
Are they the developmental for AAA? Lucha Underground life? A Canadian super indy?

What they are vs what they keep trying to be They would be having an easier time if they just tried to be a wrestling product instead of trying to replicate a product they clearly do not have the means to and come off as a company making movies on a view finder.

You could make the case that trying to be a wrestling product would be just as successful in getting them anywhere, since people have NXT and New Japan if they want to get their five-star match fix.
So, why not be Spotfest Underground instead?

Ever since there’s been pro wrestling there’s been way more companies that have been successful or atleast profitable trying to be a wrestling product meanwhile one company has been able to do what Lucha Underground has done and while they’ve been successful from an artistic presentation standpoint they haven’t been successful from a ratings or profitability standpoint it’s a very niche product so when your already dealing with a niche product in wrestling why you would want to be a subpar 2nd rate version niche of a niche product baffles me.

Because they look second rate, just like when Vince started doing Billionaire Ted, everybody went to wcw. Fans watch how bootlegged they are, and then they would just rather watch the real shit.

The return of Sting...umm I mean Steve Borden worked really well.Christian had a bunch of very good matches.AJ Styles,Samoa Joe,Daniels in the undercard doing great stuff.Abyss wasn’t a joke yet.LAX was a fresh cool act.Serotonin & The Voodoo Kin Mafia Being awesome...scratch the last 2.

And Impact has invited these comparisons because more than half their own roster is the LU roster , I mean they were always going to get it when using those guys but once they started doing their own vingettes and doing shit like the undead realm and as there is only one other company doing it they get laughed off the lawn because it is one thing to compete against something already subpar...but trying to compete against what is visually the best wrestling show and u bringing out women with table cloths on their head as a reveal to her being evil now is begging to be shit on.

There was a spell where it felt like you couldn't say anything remotely positive about anyone involved in TNA without getting yelled at or being treated like a Dixie apologist so visiting this section of the board stopped being enjoyable for many. There are only so many times a thread on the same topic filled with the same LOLTNAism before it stops being worth reading.
Like Impact itself, it's not as bad as it was but the damage is done.

Honestly Impact Wrestling fading into watchable irrelevance (to the point where there's no real point in excessively riffing on it) seems like fitting karma both for TNA's own big mistakes and those who mocked it to the point of obnoxiousness.
