PCO seems like a weird fit in ROH. He seemed to work best as a special attraction, he'd go to your promotion to have some crazy dream match and then leave. Can't really imagine him having any sort of long program

I hear good things about Brody but in my limited viewing of him(some MLW/PWG/AAW)I haven’t been impressed I recently watched his BOLA 2018 match with PCO and it was sad they were screwing up everything left and right and immediately redoing the spot they just screwed up only to screw it up again it looked liked 2 guys that had no idea what they were doing or 2 guys dead set to perform their scripted match as planned spot for spot no matter what. What was weird was their screwups were more violent then stuff they executed but they didn’t bother selling it.PCO trying cannonballs & Moonsaults on the apron(the hardest part of the ring I’m told) only to miss completely land on the top rope gut first onto the post and buckle back to the top rope then head first to the floor no sell rush into the ring to then sell something that missed by a mile. The fans were so excited when the bell rang at the beginning then they heckled then they got quiet almost looking on in amazement of how bad this was turning out then it seemed with a couple minutes left both just decided to hit eachother for real to somewhat get the fans back.
I figure PCO will be the new old guy to feud with Joe Koff maybe form a tag with Bully Ray.

I'm not a huge PCO fan, but the fact that he still goes as hard as he does at his age is impressive.
It just sucks that the contract begins immediately, as he had a booking in Connecticut tonight that he couldn't fulfill.

It’s interesting to consider what the future of ROH is going to look like now: with WWE having signed so many guys who figured to be part of their scene during the past couple of years and with the Elite poised to begin their own promotion (though likely still working ROH dates, just maybe less frequently), that likely means there’s a chunk of change available to give out some decent contracts.
Silas is a fun gimmick and a great hand to have around, and PCO is awesome, but I’m interested to see if they decide to throw more money at some up and comers now.

Cool. Maybe with the newfound stability, Silas can afford a pair of trunks that fit.

After ROH signed PCO and Brody King and didn't let them finish their December bookings for MLW, I doubt they would give him a release to go too.

I dunno how many people have been to an ROH house show, but Silas Young is an incredible heat magnet.
His crowd work is awesome and he really gets the fans to hate his guts. That alone makes him valuable.

I feel like Silas Young has been around forever, I remember singing along to Don't Stop Believing when he entered years ago. His grumpy old man character is so different from those days, and so awesome.

That alone makes him valuable. Plus, when they want to push him, he can look like a compelling credible threat real fast. Look at the 2016 Reach for the Sky tour when they in less than a month made him look like a main event contender for Adam Cole's title, and a right fit in the mix with him, Lethal and Kyle.

I bought tickets to the next GCW show because the main event is supposed to be Masato Tanaka vs PCO, I'm going to be very pissed if that doesn't happen now. Also, PCO in ROH seems very strange, like when Necro Butcher became a regular in 2007.

Happy they are getting some new people since I assume the Elite guys won't be there if they start AEW. This is what they've needed for a good while because when I watch ROH most of it feels dull.

As others have mentioned, ROH has lacked an identity for a while now. They always had most of the top independent talent, but the last while just felt like they've shuffled their roster around and gave a ton of time to the Elite (which was somewhat understandable).
If they could become PWG with better story or a rich man's GCW, which is the feeling I'm getting from their signings, then that's a nice heading.

Tanaka still do the “full on brain me with a chair shot and I’ll act like it just kind of stung” spot?

The last time I watched a Tanaka was from a couple years ago against Sekimoto and he was as crazy as ever.
