Just for the LOLs, Vince should sign Antonio Brown to the XFL. Antonio Brown vs. Dolph Ziggler to determine the true king of Hollywood, Florida.

Just for the LOLs, Vince should sign Antonio Brown to the XFL. And Antonio Brown breaks the bank, XFL folds after Week 2.

I figured a couple irrelevant names would try to use the XFL for some press. It's mutually-beneficial, but also doesn't really help the league on the field or at the bottom line. Just free press.

All for the PR. It's part of the master plan to return to the NFL... as a kicker.

Oh, and the thing is going to start in a few weeks, and unlike the AAF, where I had some interest and excitement for it in spite of the trepidation towards the league's survival (and boy did that league not survive), I really could care less about the XFL. The only thing I have a passing interest is seeing how much of a bath the Houston Roughnecks are going to take in keeping Phillip Walker on the roster as a mandatory QB.

you also have to remember Vince will likely step away from WWE while the XFL is around -- which definitely has my interest

Wasn't there supposed to be fantasy for this league? Anyone know if there's an official site for it, and if so, who's doing it (ESPN, Yahoo, the league itself)?

Crazy that this starts in 2 weeks and I've heard nothing about it for months, except that post in here about Chad Johnson that ended up meaning nothing. This is basically the opposite of the last incarnation of the XFL which had tons of hype to start and ended up being one of the only things they did right.

www.xfl.com/rulesDon't know if it was discussed yet in the thread, but I was looking through the rules...and a few of the proposed changes are straight out of NFL Blitz (Double-Forward Pass behind the line of scrimmage, 5-round single-down 'Overtime' rules, etc.). It may amount to nothing, but I'd be lying if I didn't say I enjoyed the original XFL games with these variants, and look forward to seeing what they'll do to stand out this time around without the T&A.

Good news for UK based fans. The season will be shown live on the BT Sport. I wondered if BT might pick up the XFL after they recently picked up all of the WWE tv rights.

Bit of a breakdown of what the new league looks like as well as a bit of a retrospective on why the original XFL and AAF failed

So... games start in SIX days. Has anyone seen any mainstream press or advertising for it?!
Guessing they'll have a Superb Owl commercial today?

So... games start in SIX days. Has anyone seen any mainstream press or advertising for it?! Guessing they'll have a Superb Owl commercial today? Just ads on ESPN with "X Gon Give It To Ya." Which makes sense since they're carrying games. I've also seen ads on Fox a couple of times.
You see some promo spots on ESPN where they're halfheartedly promoting the league and they're trying so hard to come off like they think the league will succeed.

And considering the hype for the Super Bowl itself nearly disappeared due to Kobe's death, the XFL obviously is an afterthought at best right now.
