The "experiment" line was a hundred percent talking about the release strategy of the movie. 100 percent about that, clear as day, on paper and there is no possible way to interpret it as otherwise if you've read the words in the context of the interview he was doing. Dude was directly contrasting it against Black Widow's release. "As far as the theatrical window for the upcoming Labor Day weekend release of Marvel’s Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, Chapek called the 45-day frame for the pic before it hits Disney+ “an interesting experiment,” and “another data point” for the studio as it juggles theatrical releases with its streaming service." deadline.com/2021/08/shang-chi-disney-theatrical-day-and-date-bob-chapek-earnings-1234813885/Everything's got to be a friggin' culture war fight now. Can't WAIT for this movie. I love me some martial arts action and the high energy, quippy pace of Marvel could make this a ton of fun. Get me in that theater on day 1.

Spoilers from the free fan screenings have started to make their way onto the 'net. If they are to be believed, the post-credit cameos are {Spoiler}Wong, Bruce Banner (in human form) and Captain Marvel... which kinda makes sense, since the director has featured Brie Larson in three of his four movies.

{Spoiler}Benedict Wong was at the LA premiere, so that definitely lends credence to Wong being in a stinger.

Only complaint I got from this is that The Mandarin's Rings are basically armbands now

Captain Marvel was arguably only riding high on that figure because it was the lead-in to Endgame and nothing else. Once the hype machine died down and after people saw Endgame, that movie's standing in everyone's minds fell drastically. It would not have made the same amount if it had came out after Endgame. if that was the case Ant-man and the Wasp would have made a lot more as it was even closer connected to Infinity War/End Game... but it didn't. Plus 'it would not have made a billion if not X' is meaningless. It did make a billion.

I see the Shang Chi soundtrack will be following in the footsteps of the Black Panther and SpiderVerse soundtracks

The closest the bearded guy came to taking Martial Arts was playing Eddy Gordo in Tekken 3

Just typical.
Disney decide to end the premier access “experiment”.. while I’m in a area that’s in a lockdown with no end in sight and all the cinemas are shut.
I agree the lockdown should be in place. But c’mon Disney a large section of Australia and New Zealand will be unable to see this film which is due to be released on Thursday.
