The "Yes" Rankings"
65% < placements
Alright, we're into the thick of it now - here are all the people that 65% or more of the voters declared themselves a fan of. So who is it that just barely made the cut to start us off? Why it's none other than an obsolete mule.
32. Jeff Hardy
65.3% - 19.7% - 15%Maybe he's not so obsolete after all?
Years later it seems like Jeff Hardy still has a way of capturing people's attention. Being back on his own again and in a prominent position may have elevated Jeff's stock somewhat, since he does seem to have much more momentum now than when he initially returned teaming with his brother. Guess Orton didn't do such a great job of killing the fans' love for him after all, huh?
Alright, I'm just going to say it.
Look, I know I JUST started this section, but I need a rest here. In fact, it's time for a. . .
DANCE BREAK!31. Carmella
65.5% - 19.6% - 14.9%Mella is money!. . . but not enough money to get her over 30 other people. Still, she is certainly F-A-B-U-L-O-U-S enough to get over 65% of people proclaiming their fandom for her so she is definitely doing something right. Especially in comparison to whatever Big C and nZo are up to this week.
29A. Jey Uso
66% - 21.1% - 12.9%When I say Uce, y'all say Oh! UCE!
. . .
Well, anyway. Jey has the #29 slot LOCKED DOWN. . . except he doesn't since he shares it with someone else. As for who that is. . .
Look everyone, it's Tyler!
29B. Tyler Breeze
66% - 22.4% - 11.6%Part man but all model. It seems like regardless of how far he's fallen in prominence, FAN still definitely enjoys themselves some Prince Pretty. On the whole it seems as though the #29 slot is perfect for tag wrestlers whose day one is H. Of course that raises the question then of what's waiting in #28. Well. . .
IT'S A NEW DAY, YES IT IS!28. Xavier Woods
66% - 23.6% - 10.4%Xavier Woods has made quite the turnaround from standing in for Pac-Man Jones and stealing Brodus Clay's music to retire Tensai. It seems like he's really found his footing as part of New Day and a significant chunk of FAN approves. A lot more Up Up votes than Down Down ones.
So are we done with having a bunch of individual members of teams all in a row yet or what?
25A. Harper
66.7% - 17.7% - 15.6%Unlike his partner on the No list, Harper meets overwhelmingly with FAN's approval. Maybe it's his sweet farm or his hair? Or just having more indie cred? Regardless, it seems like regardless of the shaky reception the Bludgeon Brothers as an act have gotten, people still enjoy themselves the man behind the hood and giant prop hammer.
. . . Now are we done?
25B. Ruby Riott
66.7% - 13.6% - 19.7%Fittingly enough while all three members of the Riott Squad placed positively, their leader put in easily the best performance. It seems like Ruby's stock has been on the rise lately and that reflects well on FAN.
Man, this list has a lot of relatively young people so far. Can we get someone on here to lift up the average age of this list a bit?
25C. Mickie James
66.7% - 17% - 16.3%We didn't need to lift the average THAT high. What the hell, now the average for this entire list is like 87 years old. What is this, WCW?
For real though, it seems like Mickie, much like Jeff Hardy, is a veteran who hasn't lost anything in the eyes of FAN in the years she was gone. It turns out being hit by a train doesn't actually impact your wrestling ability very much. Who knew?
No, it's not lost on me that this is another member of a tag team. Can we stop with that now?
24. Jimmy Uso
68% - 20.4% - 11.6%TAGS SINCE DAY 1 ISH.
It seems like the deciding factor in who the most popular member of a tag team is is which one does a better job of feeling the glow. That or maybe just being the first billed. Either way it seems like Jimmy is the superior Uso in the eyes of FAN.
Okay, all of these tag people have really taken it out of me. I think it's time for another. . .
DANCE BREAK!23. R-Truth
68.2% - 18.2% - 13.5%Wrestlecrap Forums, WHAT'S UP!
BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!Be it talking to an imaginary child, yelling about Zack Ryder mechandise, dancing with Carmella, getting crunk, or teaming with Pac-Man (that's twice I've mentioned him in this for some reason), R-Truth's certainly done plenty over the years that's worth remembering and the response has been that FAN does indeed hear him. Not entirely sure if they say, "What's up?" though.
Yes I realize this is technically another tag person.
22. Alexa Bliss
69.8% - 24.2% - 6%The little half of Team Little Big is here. Not content with showing up Sasha constantly in the ring, Alexa also one-ups her in popularity on FAN. Alexa may not have a division that trusts her, but at least she can rest easy knowing she's more popular than Raw's other current authority figures.
21. Paul Heyman
70.7% - 22.4% - 6.8%EC-DUB! EC-DUB! EC-DUB! EC-DUB! Let me tell you an interesting fact about Paul Heyman. This might blow your mind. I don't think it gets brought up very much and a lot of people may not realize it.
You ready?
Brace yourself here.
His client Brock Lesnar conquered the Streak!
20. Finn Balor
71.6% - 21.6% - 6.8%Finn Balor kicks off the top 20 of the list. Actually a little comparitively underwhelming for someone of his pedigree, which really says something when, "Over 70% of people consider themselves a fan," can be considered surprisingly low. Either way Finn definitely has love coming his way from the people of FAN. Though it makes you wonder if he would have been voted higher if he had shown up in Demon form for the occasion.
This next guy sucks.
19. Kurt Angle
73.5% - 15% - 11.6%It's true, it's damn true! Even after all these years FAN loves them their American hero. It seems like seeing him get beaten up and tapped out by Drew McIntyre wasn't enough to dent the Olympian in the eyes of FAN, although you have to wonder what exactly the appeal is. It is quite the mystery. . . I dunno, who can we count on to explain this?
Thanks, Kurt! Now if you could maybe explain why this list just got. . . broken?
18. Matt Hardy
74.1% - 15.6% - 10.2%Now, I could spend this whole section imitating Matt Hardy's laugh or just parroting Broken / Woken memes, but instead, how about some Matt Facts?
Matt has been to Plymyth Rock.
Matt was the Fear Factor Champion.
Matt Hardy's bedtime is 4 AM.
Matt was the MVP of the '99 No Mercy Ladder Match.
Matt thinks sweet potatoes are delicious.
Matt's abs are better than Rikishi's.
Matt is ridiculously underrated.
Matt has never lost a credit card.
I could keep going really, but it's a loooong list. And speaking of lists, YOU JUST MADE THE LIST!
17. Chris Jericho
75.8% - 16.1% - 8.1%Wait, how did a NJPW champion sneak onto this list?
Jericho may be in the best in the world at what he does, but it seems like he's only the 17th most appreciated for it. Which is especially absurd given Chris Jericho invented appreciation.
Yeah, my jokes stink. Speaking of stinking. . .
16. Dean Ambrose
77.2% - 14.1% - 8.7%This is the problem with YOU PEOPLE, you went and voted someone like Dean Ambrose lower than that traitorous rat Seth Rollins. YOU PEOPLE.
At least his wife's probably going to perform better than her broadcast partners when we get to the next batch, right? Not that they talk about it. Or anything. They don't talk.
15. Kevin Owens
77.6% - 16.3% - 6.1%Seems like as much as some people have spoken out against Kevin Owens of late (*cough cough*), he's still overwhelmingly popular with FAN. A whole lot of people are going to be very happy whenever KO's ready to come back, although hopefully he tones it down on his bloodthirsty ways once he does so. That powerbomb on the apron can take WEEKS off your career!
While we're talking about injured Canadians...
14. Sami Zayn
78.9% - 16.3% - 4.8%LET'S GO!
It seems like even the mixed reception to his heel run and the widely hated Lashley feud has done little to impact Sami's popularity with the members of FAN. He also has quite easily the lowest amount of No Opinion votes so far (although not the most period - we'll get to that in a bit) which is another solid point in his favor, just going to show nearly everyone has an opinion on the guy. Helluva performance I would say.
Okay, so now I have a question.
What's WWE stand for?
13. Elias
79.7% - 11.5% - 8.8%FAN most certainly walks with Elias. And why wouldn't they? He's the greatest singer the world has ever seen, a master of directing the crowd, and also all-around decent in the ring. What else can you ask for? Clearly Michael Cole has a brilliant eye for talent with the way he's been extolling the virtues of the former-Drifter for quite some time now. What a turnaround from being booed out of the building in NXT, huh?
12. Braun Strowman
81.1% - 12.8% - 6.1%The first to crack 80% approval is of course BRRRRRRRRRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAUNNNNNNNNNNN! He hardly looks like much of a black sheep these days with the way that fans have absolutely embraced him. ... Now I'm wondering what FAN's approval rating of Nicholas would have been.
So who could have possibly overcome the Monster Among Men? The thing is. . .
IT'S A NEW DAY, YES IT IS!11. Kofi Kingston
82.3% - 11.6% - 6.1%I hear 'em shoutin' out approval for Kofi Kingston. Kofi is one of the very few remaining people on the roster who made their debut as part of the revived ECW, and over the years has done a lot to really cement his place in people's hearts. Not bad for a guy who was once in a filler tag team with Evan Bourne named after a fart, right?
So who could have possibly overcome the Power of Positivity to keep Kofi out of the top 10? Funny thing. . .
IT'S A NEW DAY, YES IT IS!10. Big E
82.4% - 10.8% - 6.8%The former Mr. Langston just
barely squeaks by his tag partner with a mere 0.1% extra. What was it that could have possibly been the deciding factor that tipped it in Big E's favor? I think we all know.
Yeah, you know how it is.
BURN IT DOWNNNNNNNNNNNNN!8A. Seth Rollins
85% - 12.2% - 2.7%Coming in tied for number eight is our current Intercontinental Champion! It seems like FAN loves themselve a good Architect, besides the 12% that don't and the 2.7% that don't really have an opinion on the matter. That one stat was impressive while it lasted by the way, Sami (not that Seth has the lowest). It seems like be it tagging with the Shield, defending gold, or successfully cashing in after
hitting the Curb Stomp Reigns knocked himself out against Lesnar's abs hitting the Pedigree, the Kingslayer always has something going on and gets people invested.
That insane gauntlet match earlier this year probably didn't hurt his case any. So who could have possibly tied with someone like Seth freakin' Rollins? Well, I'll tell ya if I could please have quiet on the set.
8B. The Miz
85% - 10.2% - 4.8%Turns out if you want to be beloved by FAN, a good way to do it is to Be Miz. HOORAH!
Miz has come quiet a long way from the days when he was hosting the Diva's Search, and even just from his face run when his most notable moment was making Ryback tap out to a dropkick. Miz may not be FAN's number one most must-see Superstar, but at least he's tied for #8. Not bad, right?
Wait, wait. What am I doing writing this up on a day like today? I should be celebrating! Why? Because it's RUSEV DAY!
7. Rusev
87.2% - 9.5% - 3.4%While about 13% of voters need a fish thrown at them, the rest of FAN loves themselves some Rusev! It's hard to tell just what it is that has made a man like the Bulgarian Brute so beloved. Is it his strong character work? His fun matches? The fact that he has his own day? How incredibly handsome he is? Whatever the case, appropriately enough Rusev makes a big splash on the list on this fine Rusev Day.
So who just missed out on the top five? Who is it and why didn't they want none?
6. AJ Styles
89.3% - 8% - 2.7%Being WWE Champion for over a year wasn't quite enough for AJ to break the top five, but he's still definitely made enough of a mark that almost 90% of voters consider themselves fans. It's amazing to think that AJ would one day be one of the most heavily pushed and most beloved people in WWE, huh? He's been around for about three years now and it stil has a certain surreality to it that AJ has managed to climb so high so quick in the company he was long seen as most likely never to be a part of.
Either way, Dixie Carter sure is an idiot, right? Well, the answer to that question is YES! YES! YES! YES! YES!
5. Daniel Bryan
89.9% - 6.7% - 3.4%It turns out FAN maybe isn't so FICKLE FICKLE FICKLE FICKLE FICKLE FICKLE after all, as Bryan manages to make the top five in spite of his recent evils. It's been a rollercoaster of a comeback for Daniel Bryan over the eight months, but even through dealing with Big Cass and a random Team Hell No reunion FAN still loves them some Daniel Bryan.
So who was it was who able to overcome Daniel Bryan? What kind of man could swing that?
4. Cesaro
90.6% - 5.4% - 4%He doesn't just raise the bar, he IS the bar! ... but that's only enough to make Cesaro the second most beloved man in WWE. We'll be getting to first momentarily but all the same, in spite of being too Swiss to catch on it seems like Cesaro has indeed caught on with the people of FAN, even through some amazing ups and downs over the years. Let's hope he finally gets an actual singles push before too long, huh?
3. Becky Lynch
91.3% - 4% - 4.7%Your second most beloved woman on the roster is the Man! What's actually rather interesting is that Becky had an utter stranglehold on the overall top slot for most of the voting period - she just kind of slipped at the very end. Still, third place is absolutely nothing to sneeze at, and it seems like Becky's stoc is only rising. And hey, she beat Charlotte along with the other Horsewomen, that's what really matters, right?
So who's the bitch that left the Man stuck with the bronze medal?
2. Samoa Joe
92.6% - 6.1% - 1.4%It seems like in spite of doing such horrific things as visiting AJ's house and telling Jeff Hardy to drink responsibly, people love themselves some Samoan Joseph and he's the most popular male wrestler on the roster in the eyes of voters. Much like AJ, it's an amazing tunraround from the days when he was doing things like losing to Crimson and drawing a dick on his face, and it seems like even in the face of some questionable booking Joe's entertainment value to the people of FAN is undeniable... except to the 7% of people who aren't fans I guess.
So are you ready for
number one? Because no one is ready for...
1. Asuka
93.2% - 4.1% - 2.7%Even on FAN Asuka always beats Ember Moon.
Her streak may be over, but FAN still absolutely loves them some Empress of Tomorrow! It's looking like FAN really loves themselves some Asuka just as much as she loves Mario and even things like losing to Charlotte and getting repeatedly distracted by a pervert aren't enough to put a dent in her popularity. Now how about everyone celebrate by dancing to Asuka's theme song just as enthusiastically as she does?
