I've been trying to do the math and it's clear there are more women available for this year's Royal Rumble compared to last year. However, there still isn't enough to have the match without using women from the past. As far as I know, here's the current rundown and possibilities assuming both champions don't compete, like last year: 1: Becky Lynch, Asuka or Charlotte Flair 2: See above 3: Ronda Rousey or Nia Jax (likely Nia) Raw: 4: Bayley 5: Sasha Banks 6: Natalya 7: Ruby Riott 8: Sarah Logan 9: Liv Morgan 10: Tamina 11: Mickie James 12: Alicia Fox 13: Dana Brooke 14: Ember Moon 15: Alexa Bliss (maybe) Smackdown: 16: Naomi 17: Lana 18: Carmella 19: Mandy Rose 20: Sonya Deville 21: Peyton Royce 22: Billie Kay 23: Zelina Vega NXT (most likely candidates): 24: Shayna Baszler 25: Nikki Cross 26: Dakota Kai (maybe) 27: Io Shirai Legends: 28: Ivory 29: Eve 30:  Thoughts? |

They'll always want to have a few 'legends' in there, to pop the crowd. I imagine Trish and Lita will be there if at all possible.
But the likes of Toni Storm, Bianca Belair and Rhea Ripley are likely candidates too.

I'm much more excited for the woman's rumble next year than this year.
The 2018 one felt there just for the.sake of it...there was always gonna be one winner and there were no storylines heading into it except 'this is historic'. They didn't have the numbers, they relied on half the field being past stars and had way too many green girls called up too quick from NXT.
THIS COMING Rumble however I am looking forward more than the mens. It feels like we actually have a proper field of women, and there are multiple storylines and angles coming into it.
The field will be pretty much what the OP listed I think, maybe one or two less NXT stars and one or two more legends. Think Alexa will put herself in at a high number but be quickly eliminated.

I’d guess the people that are always talked about for the rumble like Carlito,MVP,Rhea Ripley or Toni Storm.

I can see Alexa being in a role similar to Nikki Bella last year where she comes in towards the end and because of how much they've been pushed and favored over the years you get scared they're going to win over the more deserving person (Asuka last year, Becky this year assuming she loses the title at TLC) but then gets eliminated. Although if Charlotte is in it I think her and Becky will be the last two with Alexa probably being the second to last person eliminated instead of the last like Nikki was. |

I'd love to see Ivory back after her performance at Evolution. She was great! She missed the RR so it'd be a good excuse to have her in. Wouldn't mind one last in-ring appearance by Alundra since she wasn't in the actual RR last year, only at Evolution. I wish they'd get over whatever the issue is with Victoria and Melina and have them in since they have yet to return.
