The way they're advertising it I see whoever wins the Men's Rumble, going on to the other brand and challenge their champion

Still.what are the chances Braun loses the title match, then takes #30 from Truth and wins the Rumble? Almost a lock. And it'll close the show, too.

Little factoid. With Kofi Kingston confirmed for the Rumble.. This will now be his 11th Rumble on the Trot (Not including Greatest Royal Rumble)… He and Dolph Ziggler currently share the most present amount of Rumbles in a row. It's pretty likely Dolph will be in this Rumble but if the off chance he isn't then the record will exclusively belong to Kofi.. 2008 was the last time neither were in a Rumble (One I was live at ) They took over from the Great Khali who had the record until he wasn't in 2015. Both however need to be in the 2020 and 2021 Rumbles to match Kane who has the all time record of 13 in a row.. and 2022 to beat it.

Because that will mean that not only will Braun have failed to get the Fruit Roll-Up for the 7th time, it will also mean that Braun will lose even more fan support. Because Strowman will have screwed a popular babyface who is getting bigger face pops than at any time during his WWE run, and people are going to remember how Braun had the MitB case last year and could have had a fair title match at any point.

For those interested, the current bookmakers' favorite to win the Royal Rumble is Seth Rollins (Evens) - followed by Drew McIntyre (5/1) and Andrade Cien Almas (8/1).
For the Women's Rumble, it's Becky Lynch (1/2) followed by Charlotte Flair (2/1).
I'd take these with a pinch of salt though; this time last year the favourites were John Cena and Ronda Rousey - although, the bookies' second favourites ended up winning each Rumble in 2018, so maybe we should be looking out for a McIntyre-Flair double!

Maybe it's because the first 2 weeks of build or lack thereof have taped, but does this year's Rumble have very little hyped outside of what Becky's doing?
The men's Rumble seems to have 3 favorites with Rollins, McIntyre and Braun with an outside chane of maybe Finn. No SDL guy seems to be a legitimate threat to win. There really is no surprise entry hype. Maybe in a couple weeks we'll hear more rumors (Omega if he loses at WK), but it's dead silent right now.
We have Brock vs. Braun again. A big meh unless Braun just wrecks Brock, Goldberg style And Bryan vs. AJ again which should be great. I'm just worried about a non finish with AJ's new aggressiveness.

Yeah, sure, people will be mad at Braun for screw R-Truth..... I hope someone take that #30 spot, but not Braun. Actually 99.9% of the active & retired wrestlers will have a better pop than R-Truth coming at #30 at the Rumble.

I'm calling it now: This will be the year Kofi finally wins.
Narrator: It wasn't.
Really though.. there's so much you could do during the build to Kofi vs. this heel version of DB. I want it. You love your moments, right WWE? How about Kofi closing Mania on the shoulders of E and Woods while holding the WWE title.

It would really be a great long term story if Kofi had yet another miraculous elimination escape and it actually resulted in him winning the Rumble.

Exactly, you don't have a dude fail to beat Beastie Boy for the 5th time then enter him in the Royal Rumble afterwards by having him f*** over a popular face. Braun wins the Royal Rumble like that, it's not going to go down well.

Braun's persuit of the fruit rollup belt is feeling like Spongebob's eternal quest to get his driver's license.
I don't think he's winning it here either. Some hijinks are going to ensue - Lars maybe.

Braun wins the Royal Rumble like that, it's not going to go down well. I think for them to actually get people to believe that they're serious about the whole "change" thing, they HAVE to have Braun win clean and shuffle Brock to something else. Ideally, if they're actually going to have the women main event WM, they would be better off having a random SD guy win the men's Rumble first (REASON: Why not have Bryan defend against anyone since he's not headlining anyway? If it were face!DB CHALLENGING at WM you'd almost have to have him headline but here it really doesn't need to happen. So you could have him beat AJ at the Rumble, Ali at the next PPV, and have Rumble winner, say, Rusev face him at WM. This would actually be perfect to make a star if they end the reign there, or if not, you could also have Jeff Hardy as a throwaway challenger), Braun dethrones Brock, and Becky wins the women's Rumble to end the show. This being WWE, Braun will lose AGAIN and get inserted into the Rumble and win that and his heat will approach 2015 Reigns levels and I'll be extending my condolences to the Braun fans left.

At least one of the women’s champions will be busy this year (not a crack against Rousey, she’s just not booked yet)... Asuka will be defending her SmackDown Women’s Championship against the winner of a triple threat on SmackDown this week, a SummerSlam 2018 rematch between Becky Lynch, Charlotte Flair and Carmella (who is already entered for the Rumble via winning the Mixed Match Challenge).
