I'm not going to lie, I thought dude was going to tear it up as he was legit one of the hottest stars that never really got talked about on the Indies when he came over and it's been flat for me
They seem hell bent of just trying to give up the same old John Morrison vibe to him instead of letting him fully showcase his personality. I wouldn't be surprised if he got a heel turn during his title reign(that's what TNA always does) but as far as the overall package is concerned he's been lacking but obviously can still get it done in the ring

He’s only good in LU, in other companies he’s just an underachiever mid career.

I wont say I am dissapointed because this is exactly what I expected
TNA would just retread the same road and hope it works for them.
The whole Kross and Mundo thing is just redoing their time in AAA more so because everyone is expecting Johnny to turn heel
Taya I thought when she first went to impact was doing what she needed to be done and she even said it in an in interview she did not want to be paired with Johnny in Impact nore did she want to do the La Wera Loca because she wanted to seperate what she was doing in both companies thus why she was doing the whole Asgard get up and stuff....but now she is just her LU character with much less interesting booking around her.
Funny LU in their show officially paired them together in wedlock....but then realized oh yea this is played out with them just together and had nowhere to go...so they in creative fashion seperated them by the end of the season and now both are in even more interesting positions.

He’s only good in LU, in other companies he’s just an underachiever mid career. He wrestles for a lot of promotions as a main eventer.

He's just about met expectations for me. No more, no less. Not the most exciting.

It really is expectation Vs reality The expectation The reality Johnny looks understandably bored sitting with Josh Mathews there.

Given what TNA is now, it often feels like a waste for talented people to be there. That said, if they're gettin paid, can't quibble too much.

He is a guy you could build your promotion around, and some indies have. It’s a shame no national company ever really understood what they had.

I mean it's TNA/Impact... them taking talented people and horribly misusing them is kinda what they always do.

It's Impact wrestling, there's only so much of a ceiling there regardless what you do there.

I always saw Johnny as a natural heel tbh
He is probably right there with Drew Galloway imo.

It's basically impossible to be a hot indy talent in TNA/Impact when at the end of the day TNA/Impact is basically the exact opposite of a hot indy promotion.

I think Aries walking out really hurt the direction they were going with him. With Aries gone that storyline just died. No rematch, follow up or anything was possible. To keep Johnny Impact out front they had him wrestling every week and on t.v. giving promos about nothing. Then they tried to hotshot a new feud with Killer Kross out of nowhere, throw in Moose, insert him into Taya's feud with Tessa. Put it all together and it's been a clusterkrunk.

TNA has a cold product that even at its sharpest isn't doing wonders for pretty much anyone right now, weak presentation, and they slapped their own branding onto the guy. Either Mundo is a dude who needs strong direction to tap into his best self and they're giving him crap, or because he's being given crap he's coasting and just not really trying. It's so weird seeing him knock it out of the park Wednesday and then be such a non-factor Thursday.

That’s him. That’s f***ing him lol..I’m a fan, I really am, but dude gets a lil overhyped since he left WWE. He can be fun in the ring. He’s still pretty mediocre when it comes to mic skills and charisma. I’ve seen the dude live. Again, I’m not trying to hate and I am a fan but that’s the guy.
