So who do you think will most likely head back to Japan?

Shinsuke I guess, but I honestly don't expect any of them to go anywhere.

Out of the four, maybe Nak. I think he likes our #watertowers too much to leave.
0% chance AJ doesn't stay. Gallows and Anderson will also stay.

Gallows and Anderson would probably be most likely to go if any of them were to go, but I’d suspect it’d be to the rumoured All Elite project than to New Japan.

Styles and Anderson have families here and they make more money, see them more often and they're good. Nakamura's family also relocated to the US and he's fine with his current life.
Gallows is the only one with a chance of heading back to NJPW and judging social media comments he seems fine here. All the others? Locked in.

None of them
Anderson spent majority of his career in Japan and jumped at the chance to come over to the U.S. Gallows also has a son and him and Karl are tied together so they aren't going anywhere
AJ got retirement money from WWE, he's not going anywhere
Despite how much people complain about Nak, he comes across like he's having the time of his life and with his family over here as well I can't see him going back. Language barrier isn't a thing anymore for him and like AJ he's got retirement money from WWE

Yeah, the contingent calling for Nakamura to return to Japan probably aren't very cognizant of how hard it is to relocate a family to another continent, and he's not going to through the process AGAIN just for the sake of a possibly slightly better position.

None of them are going back, and Nakamura especially isn't going back. Any idea of him being better off in New Japan is not only overlooking money and that he's done it all, but the climate of New Japan; even in the short time he's been gone, Kenny Omega and Tetsuya Naito have surged up to main event positions to be contemporaries to top guy Okada, while the seeds have been plented for newer hires/debuts like Jay White and Sanada to also ascend to greater things in the company, plus Kota Ibushi with a big, ever-present question mark over his head. There's no goddamn room for Nakamura right now unless they gave him something like the US belt, which I would say in New Japan terms is probably lower down the pecking order than WWE's US belt.

Gallows and Anderson are sickeningly wasted in WWE.

AJ got retirement money from WWE, he's not going anywhere And he's in good with Vince, so if he wants more money or more television time, he just has to ask.

Supposedly the sticking point is that AJ wants a lighter schedule, actually. But he'll stay. Nak will stay if the money's right. Not so sure about the Good Brothers.

AJ I'd just as soon keep in WWE, the other three I really would prefer not to have to watch them so I don't care where they end up but would prefer it not be WWE. But I'm not going to be upset if they do stay because they're just dull, not actively bad.

Speaking as a fan, I wish that Nakamura, Gallows, and Anderson would all go back. In my opinion all were infinitely better in New Japan (certainly Nakamura). All except for AJ have been absolutely wasted in WWE.

So, I don't put much stock in anything Meltzer says, but the wording of his reply struck me instantly. He doesn't say "He'll be in WWE." He says "He's not going back to Japan." Could be absolutely nothing, but just because he doesn't go back to NJPW doesn't mean he's staying in WWE, either.

I don't think many of yall understand why he's in the company lol. He's here for money and lower taxing matches.
