The Rams have way, way too much offensively for the Cowboys. How many teams have a 1200 yard RB and two 1200 yard WRs? If the Rams played any serious D they'd be by far the best team in the league but you can score on them. I think this one will be pretty ugly. Saints/Eagles was ugly actually, but can't help but be a better game this time. But yeah we should be getting Saints/Rams II unless some weird stuff happens.
I have to be honest, I have no idea about the AFC playoffs. The Pats are undefeated at home this year but isn't Rivers due to finally beat Brady at some point? And the Chiefs haven't really been quite the same without Hunt, going 3-2 without him down the stretch. It wouldn't shock me if the Colts pulled off that upset like 31-28. I really don't want Colts/Pats again though because we know what will happen there and it won't be pretty. Either way I think the NFC rep will demolish the AFC rep in the Super Bowl.

It’s the next day, and my fan rage has calmed. Now I feel bad for Cody Parkey. That’s all that guy is ever going to be known for.

People are acting like Nick Foles is the next coming of Tom Brady, but the Bears were in the driver's seat in the final seconds and were one competent kicking game away from winning. Yeah, he made a clutch drive to go up by 1 in the last minutes of the game. But the Bears drove it down the field and were in a good position to win the game. They should've won, but Cody Parkey is incompetent and bad snap made things even worse.
This was very much a case of the Bears losing it more than the Eagles winning.

I have no dog in the fight, but the way that the media is treating the guy is absolutely gross. He's the scapegoat for an offense that played like ass for most of the game. (They scored 15 points. 9 of those were off Parkey's foot) and a defense that completely folded on the last Philly go-ahead drive. There's also the part where the kick was tipped, something that was and still is largely ignored.

The kick was tipped? I missed that. Huh. Good on Eagles special teams for that, though that's also where the bad snap plays into things, too.

The defense only allowed 16 points, they turned the Eagles over twice. That should be enough to win on your home field.

Bears defense choked it away by giving up that TD on 4th down, it shouldn't have come down to a kick in the first place.

The Colts have had a very cushy schedule.
I think they’re smoke and mirrors.

Well, I went to the Colts/Giants game and they didn't exactly look like world beaters trailing a weak Giants team for 59 minutes. What's odd is that leaving the stadium it felt like a "turn the corner" kind of win, somehow scraping by with a C game. Colts did trash the Cowboys and beat Houston on the road. Swept a 9-7 Tennessee team. I'm still trying to figure out how the Colts gave up 42 to the Jets. Losing 6-0 to JAX is one thing. Just a bad day offensively but the D played great. But 42 to the Jets? I tend to think if Kareem Hunt wasn't an idiot the Chiefs/Colts game wouldn't be close, but who knows now.

Andrew Luck this year is what he’s always been- a frontrunning fraud who mops up bad teams but can’t beat the good teams.

Someone tell me anytime they can remember a number 1 seed that has the league MVP at QB being as completely disrespected as KC is right now from fans and media?

Except for the part where they beat Washington (before injuries killed them) and also Houston and Dallas back to back (week 14 and 15). But it doesn't matter. You've decided who your obsessive hatred is aimed at this week. You'll make 20 more posts saying the same thing. Not even sure why I waste time .

It's the institutional failure that the franchise seems to turn into come mid January, combined with lackluster play the last month or so and a defense that can't stop a halfway decent offense

Andrew Luck isn't as good...right now no one is. QBs win championships remember that. 5 straight years the #1 seed in the AFC has gone to the bowl, but it's cool everyone can disrespect Mahomes the same way they all did in draft evaluations and we see how that looks today.

The Chiefs have a history of choking in the playoffs, especially at home, and Andy Reid also has a history of making really bad coaching decisions that tend to hurt his teams and contribute to one and done runs. Mahomes and the Chiefs also haven't looked as good in their last few games compared to how they were blasting away opponents in the first half of the season. Losing Hunt due to him being a piece of shit hurt them, too.

Nobody is denying how awesome Mahomes is. KC is and absolutely should be the favorite in the AFC. But they have flaws that *could* get them unless they figure out a way to fix them even a little bit. If the offense sputters even a little and that defense can't get their crap together, Indy will beat them, Arrowhead or not

Also losing Hunt hasn't hurt them as bad as the loss of Sammy Watkins. Defenses respect him and it opens even more space for Hill and Kelce, Watkins is expected to return for this game.

They lost 3 of their last 6. And their losses? Rams, Chargers, Patriots, Seahawks. While the Seahawks are out, to win it all, they're going to have to go through at least 1 of the teams they've lost to, potentially 2 if the Rams make the Superbowl Does it mean they're doomed? Absolutely not....but it's not wrong for people to feel like they've gotta prove themselves
